@puff0086 of course best for crossfireX is Amd board's as they give you full x16 speed. This is where you get back the lost fps back from the cpu. If you buy amd, get Crossfire.

a maximum of 4 gpu's can be used so you can use 4 285's but only 2 295 because they are dual gpu cards

not really! first of all u will need the new classified GTX 285's cuz the old ones do not support the 4way sli bridge!

idk about the GTX 295 but no way u can put 4 of them! not even 3 cuz they dont have the 3 way bridge!

yeah they do, iv read about people that have run like 4 dual core graphics cards, they were all running as separate cards (for running lots of monitors). So im pretty sure the drivers can run more than 4, just not all together.

well thats super un comfortable to have it like that! plus if there is no sli bridge then u get manymany problems and it wont use all the cards for performence! also all games are not optimized for more than 4 gpu's so it will be pointless!

i use video convert master and its just amazing! sure it uses the CPU but it does a clean job and supports many codecs!

You do realize mac's do have good price points on my laptops? You jsut get ripped off on the MP3 players and the desktops. sure the laptops are a bit higher then normal, but you get a integrated and a dedicated gpu to switch for battery, some nice ram, and one of the best screens made.
