how do you install it? Correct me if Im wrong but most backgrounds i see are made of foam and float so you need to glue it down right? I have a 55 gallon and I want to put a 3d background in mine but I actually have fish in it already...shoulda bought it before I set up the tank but I didnt think I would want one so bad lol

Nice background but how are you going to clean behind it? Since it is not a solid wall against the back of the aquarium isnt it going to collect waste and detritus? Best of luck with it though looks great!

Hey Because there is no light and my filter intakes are there , there is no problem . Also bacteria will grow there and eat up the debris .

P.s they are made from polyester so not siliconed to the glass just standing on there own so if needed i can take them out

Yeah I'm well happy with the new background and so are the fish :D.

I gave the big peace of wood to a friend , so every one is happy, and less wood in the big tank is better because other wise the water would get to soft.

Oh yeah, I did you check out the R/O Video?

Well if not, here is what I do to keep the water properly soft at 120-200 ppm GH/KH, which seems to be optimal for the fish.

I add "R/O right" from Kent, it has all required minerals that you need to put back after the ReverseOsmosis.

Then I keep checking the levels with my testkits.

I hope I can soon add the P.H. adjuster, since I need to keep diluting the old water with R/O water in order to maintain the P.H. :)
