  • why the navy version, not the aac which is much nicer

  • Erm...I think you need to check your aircraft mate. This isn't the "Navy Version" its the AH7.

Naval Versions are the HAS3 and HMA8.

  • Well the Navy use the HAS3, HMA8 but also fly the AH7 for the commandos

  • Any Updates Guys?

  • Very soon :) They are due out of the paint shop soon!

  • Superb!

  • what song is this???

  • blooper reel (hahah)!

  • sweet, i couldnt decide to get this game or not cus i will have to upgrade my g-card, but now if this is coming out, i will definately get it!, i love lynxs!, great job rksl. the whole deal of rksl looks really promising, keep up the good work mate!

  • Looks great guys. Would love some of our chopper pilots to beta test...

    [KH]Jman.

    Kellys Heroes Arma

  • Wicked helo, a little fast or is it right?

  • No that its correct real world top speed.

  • Holy shit that is fast then!!! 324 is what i saw it reach quite frequently.

  • nah mate 270 is its max. Anything over and it lost control in that build. If you down load the high res version of the RKSL Site (just type RKSL in google) you'll see.

  • Ok, must have mid read

  • dick head, why be such a twat, i'm gonna fuck you up

  • Im not being a twat im pointing out your mistake.

But I dont see how you could "Fuck me up". This is the internet physical threats are just pointless.

  • I'm sorry, I don't think I wrote the previous comment, my brother may have forgotten to log out

  • Did you guys maybe menage to change the flight characteristics? I see it dooing a loop and that's not possible with ArmA choppers (ok, possible, but very sloppy).

  • Yes we did. Its possible to change the handling by altering the GeoLod in the model. You cant do this with the BIS models but its easy on custom ones.

  • I really can't wait for this! Looks great!

  • guys that is beautiful i cant wait for all of your stuff

    especially the c130

  • One beauty of a helicopter and I'm glad to see it coming to ArmA, though it certainly does look as tempermental as it apparently is in real life. Looking stunning

  • nice one if u guys do the UKF mod that would be gr8. whens the predicted release date for the lynx?

  • Im not going to predict a release. Right now its being UV Mapped. After that it will be Textured and finally tweaked and scripted. it will take as long as it takes im afraid.

  • cool helicopter..where can i download it???...keep up the good work & that fast speed >:) :P

  • Hello fellas, Im one of the pilots in this vid. I do use TrackIR, massive flight sim fan and this game has a great use of the kit. The lynx is a very very tasty piece of kit and Rock has done an extreamly good job of getting it this far without the proper support of a proper editor pack. I can just hope that the finished model will be ready soon and we can show it off to all of you soon. VCB Mac

  • They should do a Euro/british mod - so much amazing equipment thats missing from arma like the Lynx

  • We do *plan* on doing a complete mod with the UKF guys.

  • if its what we c is what we get, than its very nice. Speed looks more realistic, and the aerodinamics are just right. I'm craving to fly this masterpiece.

  • what do you use to make those videos. Well done Everything!

    Dalai Lamar

  • They were shot using GameCam 1.4 - Its better than Fraps because it doesn't interfere with the game performance as much - and then edited together in Windows Movie Maker.

  • Very nice. Do the pilots in your vids use Track IR?

  • I use TrackIR but I'm not sure about Stu and Macca. But alot of VCB members use it. It really does add to the immersion of the game.

  • Looks like fun to fly. Is that its realistic speed?

  • Yeah 254kph is the operational max speed.

  • Ah, it's probably ArmA's wacky FOV that is making it look so fast.

  • Sorry to be commenting so much but the Lynx did 400.87KPH which is 249.1MPH

Not sure where you got 254KPH from but it's incorrect

  • @SheepJumpFish That was a specially stripped out version converted for the world record attempt. Read Wikipedia's Westland Lynx article.

As for where I got 254kph from, it was from A Royal Navy Lt Cmdr who flies the Lynx for a living.

  • My mistake, you wrote operational speed but the British Army website says that it's max is 160Knots which converted is 296KPH

  • @SheepJumpFish

Max permitted operational speed (VNo) is 254kph.

Max permitted speed never exceed (VNe) is 305kph.

The operational speed relates to a fully loaded/fuel aircraft in regular use.

VNe is the limit that if you exceed, things "break". While you can reach this speed it has various negative effects on rotors, gear boxes and engines.

Taz has been flying the Lynx for 11 years so I'm always going to take his word over any website.
