I have always liked this band, but I will say this with full honesty. When they were getting big in America a few years back, and came on shows like Carson Daly, Jay Leno, and Conan O'Brien, their live appearances left something to be desired. I remember watching their appearances, and wondering why they sounded so lackluster and bland. They did not sound as good as they did in the studio. I started losing interest in this band soon after that, but interest has since returned.

Songs like white unicorn, where eagles have been, vagabond, joker, minds eye... most of their 1st two albums are certainly hard rock.. here's the definition from wikipedia: Hard Rock developed into a major form of popular music in the 1970s, with bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, AC/DC and Van Halen, and reached a commercial peak in the mid 1980s.

Wolfmother is certainly a throw back to those bands. Who cares.. it's great music.
