Pantera was former Glam Metal band.. and Glam Metal came from Glam rock...And Glam Rock had the roots from Pop Rock... and Pop Rock is obviously came from old school Pop and Rock music...So that means, without the old school Pop music, there is gonna be no Glam Metal... When I heard this in '88 and then Cowboys in '90, I couldn't believe it was the same band! A new singer can change the sound and direction of a band for sure!

That style was popularized by Pantera, and has nothing to do with real, GOOD, Groove Metal like Exhorder.
