This is magnificent, half tone flat or not! You are a gifted musician and it is apparent that you have worked very hard to get here. Contrary to popular opinion art great art is as much a result of hard work as it is innate ability; I don't like the word talent.

Not having played this in about two years, I plan to record a new version of this *relatively* soon, hopefully within the next few weeks! Stay tuned! =)
Actually, it is in G minor, but the harpsichord was tuned to A=415 Hz (commonly called 'baroque pitch'), which makes th notes sound a semitone flat by modern standards.
brilliant playing. I think the Passacaille is a really difficult piece, and you did great managing to keep up all the way through xD great performance!
Anyway, maby you should mention the fact that this is a combination of several takes. Otherwise, people who realize that could think you wanted to hide it ;-) ! No offence,
The reason for having several takes is that firstly, the camera gave out halfway through the overture, and secondly, I was interrupted just before playing the Passacaille. I also cut excessive pauses between the movements, to provide a smoother performance.
I'm sure you're a good musician, I just was worried because some people might think that you wanted to cheat.. So I gave you the hint to mention the cause in the video description.
For my share, I see you're doing a great job at the Harpsichord.
You should have a look at my channel, you might like some of my Interpreatations. I'm going to record and upload the Passacaille of this suite on the guitar soon.
Wow.. this is amazing. It's hidden treasure of Youtube. Thank you for playing and posting this piece. After long hours of workday, I found a piece of joy.
Oh, thank you! There are a few little mistakes in the video, so I'll probably have to re-take the Overture and Passacaille, but I'm glad you like it. =)
I'm just as guilty about picking on the mistakes I've made on different pieces. I cringe every time I listen to myself playing something. That's why I haven't gotten around to posting anying up here yet on You Tube. ;-0
I'm sooo jealous of your access to and ability to play! Very well done!

I've played these before too - very difficult.

Oh thank you! The mistakes aren't *terribly* obvious, I suppose - I'm just a perfectionist. Nothing less than Scott Ross will do for me. =P
