I play this in my county jazz band. I think as a jazz band you need some dynamics and a bit more practise before you perform, especially the soloists. I'm sure you guys could sound amazing though.

Guys guys, it's not that bad... Now I can understand if many of you have problems with it. I certainly do, I play the music like probably man of you here, and I simply love the jazz an Alto can put out. Now, the entire song was slurred...>:/...that can be fixed though, as well as the tuning. Everyone just needs to put in a little bit more effort that's all.

Thanks for taking a crack at playing jazz. There are so many ensembles who shy away from jazz and improv. To all of the people being critical, come on.. they are in 8th grade. Please save your professional standards for somebody else.

the saxaphone line was out of synch, drummer was right, tuning would be a nice addition. trumpets get ur horns out of ur stand, project your sound...get into the music guys, enjoy it...add some spunk to it....cept that one trumpet who added a bit too much and went flat lol

You guys really need to learn to tune and also you need to learn how to Balance the instrument sounds. And eeryone looks like a fucking zombie. Get into the music a little...then it's somewhat tolerable.

rchambers the stanfford high schools versions sucks... it's way to fast and the gutiar solos had no distortion for a rock classic? really? the sax solos in this song is a whole lot better. This school did a great job and the tempo is a lot better instead or your's cause you rushed all of it.

The Bands' overall tone isn't that great at all in my opinion. The music seems to be moving too fast, and the breathing intervals are too short (2 measures per breath at that speed? come on...). I'd say it's about a 2/5.

he didnt improvise that. my jazz band played the same arrangment and I had that solo. he didnt play it write he was like wayyyyy off on timeing. we ended up getting 1st place at states.

the solo wasn't all that great and they are going a little slow. needs mor jazz twist to it. if they are going to perform they need to work on the solo. and i i heard a couple squeeks toward the end. But they did do a little better than my retarded school

In my opinion could use more jazz twist. . . the Bruton High School jazz band one adds more of their own generic jazz twist. You guys could add some of it. Look them up to see what I mean.
