Don't be perplexed. A lot of it is just sounds you would hear at night. Most people get all freaked out because maybe they are not used to hearing night sounds. Last year I camped out under the star in northeast Michigan and you would be amazed at what you hear. You would be amazed at what natural sounds can sound mechanical. When you are alone in the woods, miles from anyone else, no protection - then you will know what weird sounds are truly like. Sleeping out is an awe inspiring experience that everyone should try. Find a position free from wind, where the air is comparatively still. Record with the timestamp on. Don't move the camera around so much, just record the sound.

The unexplained sound was reminiscent of a distant military jet to me... the sound may have been hitting an inversion layer and traveling a distance.
