Very cool guys. I will check out your other videos!
Maybe next time you could be at least partially exposed to really test the camo. with 10% of your body visible, I bet olive drab would work just as well as multicam. Multicam is excellent camo and you have shown it works but very little of your body was exposed. Keep up the good work.
would you recommend multicam for woodland areas? cus alot of the landscape here was lighter than where i am. It worked rlly well in your vid but idk if that would change in a different enviroment.
first.. realy nice you guys put this on youtube! amazing how good khaki still works as consealment! even better, because you dont look like somebody who s going to hide for some reason.. you can just wear it everyday and if nessecary you hide. very good vid! multicam is cool, but not 10 times better in my opinion.. grts from holland
Both stand at 100-1000 meters. with the sun in front of you and sun to your back sun to your side. Under cover it's had to spot anyone as along as they stay still.
At 2:42 - 2:44 I could see his cap sticking up just a little bit over the bushes.. Suddenly, at 2:44 he has changed his position? :O anyway good video, I've ordered my Tru Spec T.R.U multicam set so I'm looking forward to get it! :)
I agree with sovietspetzna... the boonie was how I found lee every time. Other than that this is probably the best independent review of Multicam on YouTube.
It kind of defeats the purpose of a camo test when your'e hiding BEHIND something. I mean that's the point of camo. To blend in with your surroundings so that you don't have to hide behind things.
@arandomperson3 concealment is all about hiding behind things. The camo helps to break up the human shape, and if you're not concealed well, you'll still be visible no matter what camo pattern you use. In all shots in the camo test I am visible, if you know where to look, and at no point am I fully concealed by my environment.
So when your taking fire you should hide in front of a bush an hope you "disappear" from the enemy?...lol ya, give that a shot. I'd rather hide behind a bush or inside it, so that way theres a really good chance they wont see me.
@MonteLSV6 That's not what I'm saying. Of course if the enemy shoots at you he can SEE you. The purpose of camo is to make it harder for the enemy to SPOT you before the actual shooting starts so that maybe if your lucky you can maintain the element of surprise or sneak past them. Camo should make the wearer blend into his surroundings. Of course the enemy can't see you if you're hiding behind a bush, they don't have freaking x-ray vision, but sometimes soldiers don't have bushes to hide behind
Lol... You're not supposed to rely 100% on the camo, the camo is an aid, not an invisibility suit. Hiding behind low brush is a common tactic among hunters, paintballers, and military snipers alike.
@thatstyte Dude that's not what I'm saying. Of course soldiers should use cover and sneak around, but there is a reason the military uses camo. And if they use camo, it should be GOOD camo and fulfill it's purpose as much as it can. I'm not talking invisibility cloak, or chameleon skin. I'm talking about a soldier from a far off distance who doesn't happen to have the luxury of cover, and the possibility that if he stays still there is a chance the enemy MIGHT not notice him right off the bat.
Well, they made two videos, one of them openly standing or laying in grass, and another of them in partially concealed positions. If you think you have a better idea, then buy some camo, grab your camera, and go make a youtube video better than theirs. It's easy to insult, but these videos are the best multicam tests I've seen to date.
What's interesting about the the colors are they are naturally disruptive colors, the kind of colors people, especially males tune out. For instance forrest camo is often dark green and black. The dark green really looks artifical when held up to plants and the black is generally not a color found in vegetation, but found on predators. The current U.S. army pattern looks grey. This pattern doesn't have a lot of sharp describable colors that you can train your eye on.
@smokepole68 Thanks for watching. As soon as Finals are over, we're going to get out there with our buddy Josh and do the other camo tests. Another friend, Colin, is also going to come down and we're going to test his Desert Digi pattern.
So far the Multicam is working really well! Just have to follow standard camouflage procedures and it does the rest of the work for you.
Its different watching it on camera and being in person. It would be easier to see if you were actually out there looking for them

the boonie cap needs to be broken up. Edges are way to easy to spot, try burlap.

multicam works pretty good. seems like alot of these areas ACU would have done just as well if not better.
