Someone doesn't stay updated on the motocross series. If they did they would know how good a rider Rattray is and he is on one of the best teams in the USA and I believe he is one of the top 3 250 riders.

Not the best riders in the world. they are great, just not the best. rattray is racing 250s and so is cairoli, and when they jump up to 450s they will get top 15's at best. Not saying America has the greatest riders either, just these two guys are not the best. Porcell was whooping rattrays ass in the 250 class, and obviously aussies have fast riders, case in point Reed, but America had/has Carmichael, McGrath, Villipoto, Dungey, Stewart, Canard. They dominate constantly.

For example in MXdN 2006 he beat Villopoto, Townley and Tedesco, and in 2009, on a track unknown for everybody (Franciacorta), he beat Reed, Dungey and Tedesco again... Of course in USA is more difficult, because the US riders know the track very well, and the problem of Cairoli now is his damn 350cc, that in US big circuits suffers for torque and chassis, compared to jap...
