    (insert trollface)

  • KEBERT XELA

  • i love how the camera pans over

    and hes dead

  • nevermind the guy fainting, the woman said mexico city was in the southern hemisphere. where are the haters?

  • you have to be stupid to get less than $10,000 now a days...

  • wat's funny is they always play

\this game with the straitest face.

  • is that alex trebek

  • Player 1 almost tied with Player 3

  • promptly, nobody gave a single fuck.

  • Cheater.

  • @vta1985

Impossible, Player 2's response was incorrect. No way he can see Player 1's response

  • smart way to buy yourself an extra 10 seconds

  • @wwekidtanman i agree it looked to me like he was thinking "should i look like i'm reciting the pledge or taking a nap?"

  • What year was this from??

  • @monamour818 1986.

  • That guy was faking! I think he was just trying to buy some time, too. Glad the other guy won.

  • Mexico City isn't in the Southern Hemisphere?

  • 33 people hoped he was dead

  • Lol that was the worst Fake Faint ever. He probably still gets shit for it today!! If it was real, he would have lost his leg power too and fell all the way.

  • trust me, i've fainted a couple times and this guy did not faint because when you faint it takes a little bit of time to get over, and your whole body would fall over, not your head onto to the desk. this guy had to be faking it. He wouldn't stand up and smile and write down his answer. He would be feeling so sick to his stomach and he would be on the ground.

  • I wish the guy on the end would have WON!

  • a 3 day total of $12,000? Fucking inflation.

  • Jeff is Left Handed.

  • Interesting that his wager was 2600... for anyone who knows the reference.

  • @xTheSpiritx Good one! LOL!!

  • Boy, this shows scores shows how the economy has changed.

  • Yay, I got the question correct!

  • Alex Trebek rocks

  • man people looked nerdy in the 80s

  • @demonmama

no not alex he look cool

  • :44 i thought she was trying to read his answer

  • I love how we finish the 3-person pan with this body just lying there.

  • @Ffiti2 YES! I cracked up at that. Poor guy!

  • That presenter looks like a young Christopher Walken!

  • Clark Kent took the win.

  • He lost to Brick Tamland?!?!

  • @keetonbob I like him because he is rarely late

  • he def was stalling. cheater.

  • He was stalling for more time. Hmmm, I think better with my head down. Alex? I need a nap.

  • Best music too!

  • It's a good thing the returning champion won this episode, especially if the fainting guy had won. I would have been pissed to ever-loving hell if Fainting Dude won because he got extra time to answer the question.

  • I wager -16,000. Oh, I'm wrong? I WIN!!!!

  • I shouldn't laugh, but that's hilarious.

  • i have the urge to say something...

    NERDS!!!

  • I couldn't help but laugh ... the guy fainting with that music playing in the background...

  • funniest video ive ever seen cant stop laughing

  • @tennesseevidguy I agree, it's just priceless.

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • There really wasn't much they could have done once the category and clue were revealed on-air. The writers would have had to come up with a brand new category and clue on the spot, and then they would have had to re-tape the category reveal and allow the contestants to alter their wagers appropriately. It would have been a great deal of extra time and effort - especially considering the guy was okay enough to finish out the game. If he wasn't, of course, the taping would have stopped.

  • @Curiner What is this archaic drug you speak of? Sounds terribly addictive!!

  • That's that 70s porno mustache.

  • he got extra time the sob! in university exams they don't give a shit if you have a seizure or faint during an exam, if you don't finish on time then that's that.

  • @DH2020 Maybe if your university exams were televised they would cut you some slack.

  • @tml4873 the university admin are a bunch of nazi power tripping indvidual's they won't do shit.

  • @DH2020 You go to school in soviet russia?

  • what have been weird if he would have dropped dead

  • Those large glasses pulled him over!

  • at 0:39, you hear a thud.

  • Alex Trebek looked young in this clip. What year did this episode air?

  • @JeffK1980 It was 1986, when he was 45.

  • I love that theme song it just makes it a all too good situation.teehehe

  • I almost fainted that time I picked up a hooker. Turned out the hooker was a guy. When he told me, my jaw dropped so far down that his penis nearly fell out of my mouth.

  • MEXICO CITY WTF!!

  • @IndieRock921 To be fair to her, she's shaking her head like she knows it's wrong. It was a "hail mary" guess and not her thinking Mexico City is in the Southern Hemisphere.

  • i shouldn't be laughing. but the song kept going which made it a lil funny

  • awesome

  • Mexico City?!

  • i like how the other two couldn't care less if he went face down lol

  • wow look at alex. THAT STUD!

  • what a fag

  • Look at Gary Palmer's face at 1:55? Who are you Gary? Damn, your charisma is exploding. You are right to be sure of yourself. I want to meet you Gary.

  • ah the dude knew he was gonna lose to that prick, so he had to go out with a bang

  • What a faker. You don't raise your hand like that when you have a fainting spell, it just sort of happens.

This guy was trying to alert the media to shake up his opponents even though the champ couldn't be caught.

On a side note, the champ wagered enough that he would have tied if he got it wrong. What an idiot. They call that the Cliff Clavin move.

  • @damienmetalwind They don't do tiebreakers in non-tournament games. He still would have won.

  • @AdamNedeff

I thought that if it was a tie, both players would return the next day. Still kind of stupid when you could just bet a dollar less...

  • @AdamNedeff no they would have both come back.

  • @AdamNedeff he was my dad's friend in law school. he was on a crash diet and he was nervous

  • @aCowardLion he was crashing on something

  • @AdamNedeff no they both would've come back

  • @AdamNedeff no, they would have done co-champions. look at the three way tie vid.

  • @trueblue4ky I said that.

  • @damienmetalwind I Have fainting spells and you could feel it when its about to happen. I'm a nurse and I fainted in the labour and delivery room. I tried to leave the room before it happedn but before i knew it i was on the floor. Not because of the procedure. I get fainting spells ever so often and it just happend while i was doing an assessment on the mom to be I was so embarrassed LOL

  • @damienmetalwind Cliff Clavin move would be going for broke when you are way out in front wouldn't it?

  • @damienmetalwind Cliff Clavin?

  • What's wrong with betting to tie if you get it wrong? You play the same person as you did yesterday.

  • @TLEberle ...or you could wager $1 more and win the game. Why go for a tie when you could wager an insignificant amount of money to win?

  • @damienmetalwind If you go for a tie, you will still get to play the next day... and you know you will be playing the same "easy" opponent/opponents. Sure winning is great, but tie'ing is a good strategy sometimes as well.

  • @damienmetalwind

Think about it. It's not dumb, it's absolutely correct and should be done more often. There is a guy that you know you just beat. You can let him tie you and only face ONE new contestant the next day (you still get to keep the money). Plus, now he owes you and may repay the favor the next day.

Someday, two people are going to hook up and start a long profitable run. I keep expecting it to happen more often but this very smart people just don't know how to bet.

  • @damienmetalwind uhhh, my mom went to Law school with him at UCLA, and it was genuine.

  • he was just thinking hard

  • lol the music when he was out

  • Power Nap

  • @misterbarnes LOL!

  • when was the show on?

  • I'm ok, I just fell on my face and broke my nose, and then I drooled all over the electronic keyboard and I was filled will electricity... Oh but I'm fine.

  • i like how he fainted during da song WIN

  • To me, the best part is when the lady thinks that Mexico City is in the southern hemisphere, because everything south of the United States of America is in the southern hemisphere.

  • i loved how the camera panned to him with his face on the screen!!!

  • @Sahadi420 Yeah, and what makes this bizarre is the background music...

  • This is nothing. There's a clip on YouTube of someone who died during a talk show.

  • Wow, that's old.

  • @AntiVaccine And don't faint on Jeopardy!

  • I get those Fainting Spells once in a while.

  • what is embarrasing yourself?

  • love the tune I wanna walk down the aisle to it

  • lol 0:40 .. the slow pan over to a lifeless jeff

  • @pinkfloyddwc It's Not Funny.

  • @Fartingbellybutton .. no it is funny .. you're just a dry and boring person

  • This makes me wanna go on Jeopardy and have something crazy happen like Trebek trip on the way of walking over to me.

  • Lol He raised his hand. The funniest part though is the way the lady looks at him at 0:42.

  • that was the "politest faint IVE even seen. Usually your legs just give out from under you and you hit your head on the desk as you're crashing to the floor. I dont want to mis speak here, but Ive never seen anyone faint where they put their head down on the desk their feet remain standing, AND they get up beforethe song is over. .... RIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHHT

  • trebek should grow that cool mustache back.

  • I didn't know that the screen background was black for a little while. I only remember them being blue (& red during Double Jeopardy for many years).

  • this is the first season until 1997 where the backround turns red for double and final jeopardy

  • This dude clearly cheated to buy himself more time to think. Come on. He's like that idiot who pretended his pen didn't work so he could think longer and write on the index card in a much more recent episode.

  • He cheated

  • My god, Alex must be 500 years old today. Was he doing Jeopardy in the Stone Age?

  • wow alex had a heart back then and was alot nicer back then. what happened to this alex . got old age

  • Ned Flanders fainted-d'oh!

  • DAYUM LOOK AT ALEX THEN

  • I hope this guy wasn't just stalling for more time to come up with an answer.

  • @hifiguy9 He didn't win so who cares?

  • I don't get why he didn't bet 399. Doesn't he get a smaller prize if they split the win?

  • @HarrisonDG How could you see me doing that when you were facing the floor at the time?

  • @AdamNedeff HAHAHAHAHA!!! that was awesome

  • Maby he felt lightheaded ( I Know the symptoms cos it hapens to me to it feels like the inside of my chest being on fire & it is uncomferble and then my body gets hoter then normal and then i get dizzy and my eye sight blurrs and thos are the symptoms

  • 0:38 -- The best part...

  • slow ass video.. i dont have time to wait 4 a video to load when im wasting time

  • Great story, meliketokill!

  • @meliketokill maybe it's your connection?

  • I just realized that I remember watching this show with the old set and that I'm freaking old.

  • Good lord! Alex doesn't age!

  • Thats not fainting. Thats just somone putting their head down, cause they dont feel very good. Fainting and passing out is when your body gives way or tenses up and you fall to the floor

  • what a jackass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\

  • southern hemisphere in Mexico? what where you thinking lady?

  • ( ") ( ") __

  • He just wanted extra time to think.

  • This is the best thing I've ever seen. WHY DO THEY JUST KEEP GOING ON WITH THE GAME? Hahahaaaaa

  • what year is this?

    looks like the mid 80s..

  • 1986

  • @sibipihkur lol @ his hair :) yeah its definately 80s

  • Notice that he has a spotter off to camera right at 1:50

  • I was expecting an outline of his face to show up for his answer.

  • @tv4castr hahah yeah... I love this stuff on youtube. how else would we get to view it.

  • @tv4castr thats funny

  • Taken it oldschool.........I like it. Lol, I love how he feels his chest and raises his hands right before it happendn

  • Sydney would be an acceptable answer as of 2009 as will Rio in 2016

  • why did alex trebek shave his mustache??

  • i say god dam, thats truly strange.. i'd like to see the video when he actually conked out

  • wow the technology sucked

  • probably from 1985. the "Jeopardy" letters were white and the Final jeopardy answer Square display was black.

  • this shit is old!

  • Bizarre....but yet so strangely compelling. Odd to see the set & Alex look so different as compared to today. And the amounts of course have increased too over the years. I've never seen anyone faint & then appear perfectly normal. But as they say, truth is often stranger than fiction. THANKS for sharing this fascinatin' footage! :)

  • He lost at Jeopardy?

  • No at a Bowling Alley.

  • @Fartingbellybutton what? he was on jeopardy?

  • @Hounsfield he Fainted at a Bowling Alley.

  • Your dad passed out on Jeopardy???

  • Comment removed

  • alex trebek looks so... young

  • it's because that episode was from 1988 or earlier.

  • @DonOvedaPenguins Nah, Alex has never looked young.

  • @DonOvedaPenguins Very Young and Mustache too.

  • ha he still lost

  • Did you see the scores? He had no chance of winning, so there was no real reason to do such a thing. Plus, this isn't the kind of Final Jeopardy that you'd need more time for; you'd either know it cold or not at all.

  • Good point, but I find it awfully odd that he just fell forward onto the desk and stayed there. He should have been on the floor after the muscles in his legs gave out.

  • He had a large, waist-height object to put his weight on. Passing out isn't always an instant thing, and the one time I fainted while standing, I leaned against a wall just before I lost consciousness. Maybe if I had been on Jeopardy instead of in the shower when I passed out, I would have stayed on my feet too.

And besides, I've heard that the guy here eventually keeled over 100% (after he stood back up), and they edited that out.

  • I thought about that too, but it just seems wierd. I have seen several people pass out: Two sitting, one standing. The two sitting were both at a desk and neither one just fell forward and stayed there. They slumped forward, slipped out of the chair and ended up on the floor. The one standing broke her jaw because it caught her fall.

  • I don't think we see the contestant pass out completely in the video.

Anyway, I'm done. It was nice discussing the mechanics of fainting with you!

  • i love how its the guy, then the girl, then hes laying there

  • both the guys were left handed!!!

  • I love how they pan to the left and he's just sitting there face down

  • Too bad he didn't actually faint so much as fake it. He did get extra time out of it though...

  • Aw man! We didn't really get to even SEE it! I thought I was gonna see him actually go down. Poor guy fainted on national tv AND lost the show. That's too bad. I was rooting for him so it would all be worth it for him.
