This is music at it¨s best. Everything comes to me, love, sorrow, happiness... It really is about being alive and feeling alive, isn¨t it? Fantastic! The beauty in being serious about life and music. Wow...
Why was this version brought out on CD later ? It is certainly not worse than the original take on the Bill Evans trio CD ? Bill Evan's solo ideas here are very clear, if not clearer than on the original take - a rare beauty, this version of Blue in Green..
When I first started to appreciate jazz at the young age of fourteen I would notice, sometime later oh say around seventeen, there was on the “Impulse” label, the cover or back side of the 33 vinyl all of these great black musicians and one only white guy. I thought to myself, who is this guy? I later found out why the leader, Miles Davis, wanted this particular pianist. Oh did I find out

In his Bill Evans biography "How My Heart Sings", Peter Pettinger makes the case that Bill Evans composed "Blue in Green", not Miles.

@Chdrapkin1 i can feel that too... it sounds much more of an evans' song than a miles song... it sound very natural in every evans' take!
