  • WOW!!!!! I llllllllooooove your rig dude!!!!!

I just tried playing my electric guitar which don't ever get me wrong I can still play it's just that I came across a problem, and now I don't know weather it's the guitar, amp or cable. It worked fine before or maybe the £1 socket I bought in poundland in the UK!

  • @MusicanoftheFuture

Output jacks short out pretty easily, and the same goes for the cable. I use a multi-meter to test for continuity as i do all of my guitar mods and repairs. Hope you get it up and running!

  • i typed in painstakingly wank and this was the first video hahahaha try ut if you donn t beleve me capts not ss and wanks abhahahah

  • Now it's 5th on the search. lol

That's nothing, xdrizzleskippy747 this person actually stole my video and re-uploaded it to sell ring tones:

    w w w. y o u t u b e . c o m/watch?v=7eqY6DnQmAo#

I spaced out the link so I could post it as a comment...

  • The trick you use with sponge behind the nut, does that work as well as you say? I play a lot of chuggy rhythm parts in Drop C, and tend to get a slight harmonic squeak when I mute left handed.

If so, how much sponge are we talking? I'm keen on trying it out!

  • Wide enough to cover 6 strings.

I've experimented with many forms of sponge, foam, cloth. I've found the foam they use for pop can cozies to be the best material for muffling the tinny sound that the strings make at the nut.

The other material that works well is that spongy grey material they use for copper pipe insulation.

That stuff that doesn't absorb water like your typical sponge. It also works really well if you cut skinny strips & get them plugged into the center of the trem springs.

  • (54 likes) = nice people with brains

    (30 dislikes) = jealous doucebags

  • dude, i dont think thats an rg560 (tho im probably wrong because that looks the same as the rg470). those all have the HSS pickup style. that ones HSH. your rg550 has an origional edge, not an edge III, your prestige looks like an rg1570. not bein a dick, just tryin to help out a bit. beautiful collection

  • @deathcore1239

You are 100% right on the edge trem...I was thinking the one with the lock plate for the springs was no longer the original...I now know that, but the video has been up here so long I don't even care to fix it. lol

And I already knew a Prestige was and RG1570.

    Prestige sounds better though. :P

The other guitar says 560 right on the back of the neck, but the matching blue headstock was not an option for the "run of the mill" Lefty models.

I think it was a factory Frankenstein.

  • too many ibanez's. they suk

  • @emmittsmith482

You just need to learn how to play them idiot!

  • @emmittsmith482 youre a fuckin idiot, i bet you play epiphones because you think theyre as good as gibson

  • @emmittsmith482 you dont know nothing about guitars jack ass

  • @emmittsmith482 play one thats not in guitar center. all they sell is shit. if the 1st or second number in the name is a 3 or less, it sucks. some with a 4 in that position are good. anything with a 5 or higher as the 1st or second number is great. what do you go for. gibson? fender? jackson? esp? other?

  • All EMGs? What do you have against passive pickups?

  • @ReekoArch

I don't mind passive seymour's + dimarzio's but when you have actives you can't have a passive for a backup guitar. Passive is a lower volume---less bottom end, and more susceptible to getting the "pig squeal" feedback that is the whole reason I moved to active. To have the deathly tight and quiet chops in between without having to turn the volume knob off. I find they are clearer too.

My ear got picky and passives sound weaker to me. Though with the right tone passives work well.

  • nice guitar collection... btw i am also lefty andi am thinking of buying a righty ESP LTD AX-54 buss and turn it to left you think it would be nice? (i am beginer)

  • It definitely looks possible to reverse the righty bass. You'll only get to 21 of the 24 frets the other way, and the knobs will be in the way a bit. Also you'll have to buy a new lefty nut so the strings sit properly.

My best advice is to get a lefty and save yourself the heartache of working around a right setup.

I've done a few conversions and they end up my hack guitars.

  • Ibanez are great buys for lefties!

If I was a righty, I'd definitely be into more makes, but they all would still be the shredder, whammy bar, humbucker 24 fret deals. lol

I've tried epiphones (Les Paul), and Fender's and there's always something that feels weird about them.

20 years of playing on flat radius necks, with jumbo frets is hard to walk away from! ;)

  • ok, for some reason it didn't register in my head while i was watching the video that these were all left handed guitars, probably cause i watched it at like 2 in the morning. yeah i agree ibanez does really cater to lefties better than almost any other guitar company. still really impressive collection. props bro.

  • do you like Ibanez??? I think ESP was a little bit better

  • I love Ibanez!

My ESP Ltd has Lighter wood, not as nice neck as the RG's, but it looks real nice.

Anytime I've picked up an ESP, it always was lighter + had thinner tone. But as a lefty they've only offered the lower lines.

I think the best qualtiy guitar I've played was a Jackson Soloist or a Kelly, but they are like $4,000 for a lefty as it would be a custom.

So until i can afford custom Jackson, I'll be happy with an Ibanez.

I urge you to check out an RG1570 Prestige-Best Bridge!

  • a lefty like myself. quite an arsenal of guitars you have there i wouldnt like to put a price on all that gear nice guitars though

  • deam all rosewood

  • Guitar #2 and #4 are Ebony Fingerboards.

    Guitar #6 is Maple.

  • i dont know why but i think you like active pickups ;)

  • I Love the clear bottom end and quietness of them.

  • The rg550 does not have an edge III.. it has a first gen edge!

  • Right You Are!

  • can someone help me? i just bought a brand new ibanez guitar to use mainly with drop C and drop Bb tunings. however, with the floating tremelo, tuning is very difficult because of varying string tensions. ive heard of using a tuning block... but i dont really understand it. also, i am having some trouble with the action making my bass strings buzz. any advice? it would be very appreciated

  • I do drop-A 7-string, Baritone B, + other various tunings, but the tuning you pick requires a string gauge that will create as close to the original tension as a regular guitar, not to buzz. You will have to slightly raise your action and adjust the truss rod as well. Then tune and INTONATE!

Try a similar gauge to this for the lowest tuning:

    13

    17

    30

    42

    52

    65

...and anything a little bit lighter than this for the drop-C, like the light top / heavy bottoms by D'addario. (.010 - .052)

  • ohhhh. i get it. same tension with heavier strings. that makes total sense. sorry bro, my first time with a floating tremelo. Another person on here recommended possibly using a G bass string for the C string. good idea?

  • You can't go wrong tuning to low-C if you are around 58 - 62 gauge on the lowest string.

When I first Baritoned my guitar back in 1995, I used my bassist's D string which was a 65 gauge for my Low-B string.

My previous gauge listing was a D-bass string + the 5 fattest strings out of a 10 - 52 pack of D'addarios. I always just saved the new high E string for backup on other guitars tuned regular, + much later they were put to good use on my 7-strings.

You'll save money vs. 7-string sets!

  • How much does it cost to insure your collection?

  • My wife has extended our homeowner's Insurance to cover 50K. If it wasn't for my gear we'd be half that. lol

  • u ot allot of rgs

  • Damn dude! NICE!

  • awesome

  • very cool collection...i've also had trouble finding lefty's =o

  • and these are all lefty's...

amazing, i find it such a struggle to find lefty's with all the hardware i want.

Schecter's good for lefty's btw (not that you really need many more guitars lol)

  • I agree with the struggle to find them in stores. If a person's loaded than they can custom order. Not me! lol

I checked out a Burgundy-colored Schecter they make with the EMGs with a neck-trough body! It's awesome, but I am broke so I could only look at it and say goodbye. ;)

  • do any of you ibanez electric gutiars have built in saddle pick ups on the tremolo system???

  • No. I wish! Then I'd be having acoustic tones on my electric too.

  • i geuss u like ibanez? :P

  • hey dude do you know if ibanez makes the iceman model in a lefty form cause ive been killing myself looking for one

  • I WISH!

They make the RG1570 in Lefty (Black)

That's the best guitar you can get NEW from Ibanez! $900!

    Next is the RG370DXL (Black)$400!

    It's decent too!

All the rest of the new guitars suck ass!

They used to be kinder to us Lefties in the 90's + early 00's. I got my 7-strings in 2003, but I haven't seen them again.

The original RG's were great too + colors other than BLACK!

If I ever become rich + famous they will make me a custom Lefty Series + only have Black 4 righties! lol

  • dang dude, if you become famous request that cause im a huge system fan and thats Darrons guitar and i love it

  • If you come into some money you can always custom shop the guitar with a guitar maker.

    A few Grand later. lol

  • wish i had that kind of money

  • Me Too!

I buy half my guitars on Ebay used and fix them up!

Actually there's a few used LeftHanded RG1570 Prestiges up there now, but I am broke!

Those are the only temptations for Ibanez guitars...and the Prestige Case is the most ass-kicking case they make and only sells with the guitar!

  • yeah, well im just starting my guitar playing( i got everything down except the chords, i have no idea what the chords are) but i gotta wait abit before i can get any new guitars but im saving up :)

  • I don't know the names of a lot of chords I play too. I found some website that you could click the frets and it would tell you the chord name and many turned into crazy long names that no one would know. Don't worry about knowing all the chord names...playing them is more important than teaching them. lol

  • it aint the names im just trying to figure them out lol

  • lets say therotically the bass cost $200 plus $7.95 shippin or the bass and the accoustic cost $300 but with free shipping, its still cost you $300 as apose to $207.95, not really savin on shippin when you think about it.

  • how many hell of guitars!!!!

  • But I like my Zenabi's!

If you are a lefty and go into a Guitar Center or Sam Ash, Ibanez will be the best guitar available (the $900 Prestige or the DX for $500) not the shit $229 Ibanez with razor sharp fret edges ;)

otherwise the only other choice is a $200 toy strat or Epi-phonie.

It would be nice to have more make and model options in the store, but they are lame towards lefties. I'm not going to order a guitar I've never played either. That's like marrying a woman you never met! lol

  • well, im not much of a guitar expert, but if i had that many guitars, id buy a wider variety..... you probably play heavy metal, right??? maybe that's why you got so many "similar" guitars.... i would buy a Gibson Les Paul custom "black beaty", and a Gibson Sg, like Angus Young's, a Fender Telecaster, a Stratocaster, and so on.... i dont see the point in having so many guitars if they are all very much alike....but as i've said, im not a guitar expert, so maybe im wrong.....

  • But I like my Zenabi's!

  • dude u have like 20 guitars

  • 15 are in the video, but I created two more customs since making this video, so 17 would be the grand total!

  • Cool guitars!

  • dude bigest and best collection of leftys iv ever seen..

  • wow man, I like your guitars, nice collection.

  • Thanks for the friend Add!

I have two more creations not in the slideshow and I'm working on converting a right-handed BC Rich Mockingbird into a Lefty.

I'll probably just play them in a new video rather than change this video.

  • all that money spent on guitars and you run through a solid state head??????????

  • I'd prefer tube but the amp i have in mind is $2500 for the head alone. Still though I have solid state rig for FX and pre-amp, I do mic up the cabinet that gets the tube power amp. It's a hybrid. lol What I really want is a fully MIDI tube head so I can customize my studio recording patches to match a live performance.

  • What head is it? The Guitarist in my band is looking for something similar, i think . Does that meant that if you were doing a live show, you could switch between all of your amp settings and effects settings through a single unit?

  • It would be the MesaBoogie Tri-Axis TUBE PRE-AMP & then I'd couple that up with a CARVIN Tube Power Amp & whatever MIDI FX processor: maybe my PODxt or something new?

Either way I still like my Ground Control MIDI foot Controller. All that would do is switch the MIDI Channels on the Tri-Axis and the FX unit in sync so I could have MANY different channel sounds + still be TRUE TUBE PRE-AMP + POWER AMP I'm putting the TRI-AXIS on hold until I get more money as I'm not gigging right at the moment.

  • rnt they all left handed lol

  • sweet guitars ... u like RG's

  • brice v2 6 string

  • is it possible to make a floyd rose original tremolo not floating in to a floating trem?

  • If the Tremolo knive edges are in good shape + you have a locknut on your neck I'd say a little wood removal is possible to get the floating ability to raise the pitches too. Tuning stability is also an important factor to preserve so be careful. lol

I've never been afraid to take a dremel or drill to my guitars. lol

The only concern, other than cosmetically, is to be sure you leave enough wood around the pivot posts because if it gets too thin they'll crack out of the wood from the stress.

  • nice equipment, though iam not a ibanez fan, i myself have a ESP/ltd M 207 with duncan humbuckers and a floating floyd rose tremolo,ESP/ltd stephen carpenter sig with a tune o matic brige, with the same pick ups.i also have a used carvin that i customize to be a four string baritone. it has a duncan detonator humbuckers.

  • your fucken rich!

  • I wish! lol

20 years to amass my collection at the sacrifice of a vehicle for most of my adult life. It really fucked up my dating prowess being the poor carless wanker. lol

  • hell ya! music comes with sacrifices.

  • Great gear and a nice video.

  • ever think of using something other than an emg pickup? unless you want all your guitars to sound the same.

  • Actually, a few months after I made this, I picked up the Semour Duncan Blackouts and they kick-ass for lead tone and the neck pickup rocks for clean...I did some extensive comparison and the EMGs still rule for heavy crunch tone when a big clear bottom is the goal. The Blackouts are a little grittier so double tracking rhythms sounds a little *fuzzy* and I want *chunka-chunka* tone. lol

I'm through with passive pickups too as they don't match the quietness and feedback resistance of active.

  • I have an Alesis Quadaverb GT as my effects rack in my rack of doom...10 space rack case. At the end of the video when I show the live rig.

  • not bad, but i think my schecter hellraiser could kill them all!!!!!!

  • I was looking at their custom shop but they wanted too much dough as I wanted a BARITONE with the EMG's and that isn't a regular option for lefties. Now I just use a .065 on the low-B string and the EADGB strings from a regular set and my normal guitar is a fake baritone. lol

  • they are left handed!

  • no. those r some of the nicest ibanez's out there. im glad they all look similar. i love all the ibanez's body look and the feel. next week im going to get a new guitar for my bday lolz i was hoping to get an ibanez prastige or s series. nice vid

  • Prestige is a beautiful guitar and plays amazing. I only replace the pickups as I've never been happy with any passive designs.

My two favorite active pickups are below:

    EMG 81 (best rhythm tone)

    Seymour Blackouts (great lead tone)

  • i hope u all know who herman li is if you dont know hes lead guitarist of band dragonforce

  • herman li has a guitar that looks like dat its an ibanez s seires

  • Nice guitars, but honestly some of those Ibanez look almost identical, and can't sound that different from one another. Nothing wrong with them, but a little more diversity would be nice.

  • if you are an ibanez fan the new art100 is a must have, its a real shredder for sure for $300 there are some thousand dollar guitars that arent as good, i like it 5 times better than my epiphone less paul

  • You really like Ibanez eh?

  • Well you know what, hay that's a bit like me pedal wise at the moment.Makes sence in a way if you make a youtube video eh! Compaired to that at the moment I only own,23 pedals at so far from.Boss,Line6,Digitach,Danelectro,Daphon and Roland.I hope to get a few modded ones,a Morley and a Marshall. For when I make my video also a plan for a new room is needed.I'll let evey1 know when it's tidy+ready.Cheers 'n'a reason also if u start or join a band.Cheap fx 'n'guitars!ebaydaplace!YEAH!

  • the guitars are cool, but i would like to know the name of the song (it has a nice melody)

  • I call it *My Monster*...for now it's just an idea I haven't made song out of yet.

I looped it twice to fit my slideshow. lol

  • nice guitars dude , why so many ?

  • addiction!

They call it G.A.S. Gear Aquisition Syndrome. lol

  • I hear ya there man. Lol

  • lol seems like that u love ibenez and EMG pick-ups.

  • can you give one to me lol =)

    nice collection

  • They are my children. lol

  • on the brice just adjust the bridge nd truss rod and ur good to go. also new strings, ddario sells sets for 6

  • I just picked up some D'Addarios for it...haven't put them on yet, but I'll go for another truss rod setup and hopefully it'll roar like a nice bass, instead of buzz like a bee.

  • yeh the bass is a beauty, its a shame that a bad setup can ruin a first impression

  • dude nice choice of pickups on the electrics, i love EMG's

  • I just installed the new Seyour Duncan Blackouts on one of my guitars and they rule for lead tone...gives you a meatier solo sound. Like 20% more balls to the wall. lol

I still prefer the sound of EMGs for rhythm tone...both clean and dirty.

  • ya, ive been hearing about the new seymour duncans. i mostly play bass but i do a little guitar here and there.

  • eh thanks man for all the help .

  • Your welcome...the mediums are the .13's and the lights are the .11....ooops! lol

  • would any 1 be able to recomened gauge size of strings , for acoustic

  • Medium: .011 - .052 (normal tuning)

    or

Lights: .013 - .056 (lower or dropped tuning)

  • jeese howd you find the second guitar in lefty? i can barely find a decent ibanez left handed where i live.

  • That Proline is ancient...lol

My girlfriend bought it used with EMGs already on it, for Christmas when I was 18 years old.

  • cheers man

  • ive just bought a folk acoustic guitar . am used to playing dreadnought will it effect my playing in anyway

  • Do you mean nylon string?

If so they are two different animals. Steel works best with a pick and the nylon is more of a finger-picking guitar. You can use a pick on a nylon, but it feels looser on the strings and makes a weird tone from the plastic to nylon contact. they are quieter too.

Other than that you have a wider neck on the nylon string as well. Still you'll play both reasonably the same.

  • Whoa. Seriously, your the man bro. Seriously.

  • Thanks man...I wasn't intent on gloating about the gear as it did take me my whole life since 16 to acquire it all. I decided to make it for insurance purposes, but I got carried away and made it way too artsy not to put it up here. lol

  • i see u like ibanez

  • I always lightly buff my frets with #0000 steel wool every time I change my strings. Keeps em gliding smoooooth and lookin' sharp.

  • It's the best thing to do...I like how buttery the string bending feels after that.

  • Oh definitely. Only thing worse than sticky frets are, well... pitted ones lol.

  • dude bigest and best collection of leftys iv ever seen..........id be glad to take those off ur hands :)

  • Thanks man...as long as I have hands I'll keep playing them. lol

  • Seems you like EMG pickups.

They really are great pickups, but dont you think you have too much the same tone from the guitars. Nice collecton though.

  • I just installed Seymour Duncan Blackouts and I love them. Since I am poor(it's taken me 20 years to amass my collection), it will be the only guitar with them for a while. lol

  • lol you love EMG's

  • i think you need some more rg's.

do you have the floor or rack unit for the roland synth pickup.

  • I have the GR-20 floor box...the cheapest option...the way I see it, the cheaper the better as the tracking still blows on the higher end models too. lol

I love the RG's because for a Lefty, that's the closest thing to a Steve Vai Jem. I've always liked the hot-roded strat-type guitars for feel, as I like a Fender Strat, but preferred a Gibson neck and humbuckers and a Floyd rose floating trem.

  • true on the gr-20. very bad tracking. fender now makes production mexican strats with a gr-20, and the tracking is much better than an external gk pickup.

  • lol all emg pickups rock on!

  • Holy shit dude! You've got a fortune there, considering both as the collection itself and the money you spent on it! Hey man, can you suggest me a distortion/effect pedal for begginers-intermediates?

  • DM 4 Line 6 all kinds of distortion sounds

  • Thanks. I'll search and get it ASAP.

  • Sweet gutars I have a Ibanez rg fixed 321 its awsome and Peavey amp and grunge petal i use this set up at home and for little band jams in gigs we use Voxes Crate with the same foot petals with pearl drums Ibanez and jackson guitars

  • (duncans)* weird typo...

  • I picked up the Semour Duncan Blackouts and installed them on one of my guitars and I really love the lead tone over the EMG's.

I still prefer the EMG clarity for rhythm tone over the Blackouts so, I'll at least have a guitar to track some solos with for a different tone.

As far as passive goes...I'll never return to them as I need to use one live rig and passive pickups don't stand up well against active for volume, low-end clarity and noiseless operation.

  • it's nice to see another lefty player with nice guitars...

but you have a ton of guitars... WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PUT PRACTICALLY THE SAME PICKUPS IN ALL OF THEM???????

jesus an emg 81... really?? and an SA.....

get some diversity man or its pointless...

gets some seymour duncals.. maybe some alnico 2 pro's,,, and a custom cusom...

stick a jazz and a jb in one...

maybe a pair of 498r and 500t gibsons...

    just do something different...

  • My mission was to have all my guitars sound even when I played live. I noticed the passive pickup guitars couldn't use my same amp sound and not suck, so rather than have a different setting for different pickup guitars to play live I had an easy solution for reliable tone.

  • Man I LOVE the intro:D So hard! Was going to ask you if it was the drop A tuning, then I saw the answer above! Cool. My monster ftw!

  • Thanks man...Drop-A is the only way my brain can use a seven string. lol

  • Hehe yeah:> the whole song, if your used with regular bar chords or not, its easier to play this song (intro) with drop-tuning :) in my opinium! rock on

  • i just got an ibanez so now i have

    peavey predator

    wesley (warlok style)

    sum classical acoustic thing lol

ibanez rg, cant member wot th numbers are, similiar to two of yours though.

  • what a shame lefty!!! nice collection though. makes me look really pathetic with my 3 guitars and 2 amps. lol how old are you and how long have you been playing that you have so much swag?!?

  • I started playing in 1988...almost at my 20 year mark for next Summer. I'm 36 and 90% of my spending money will always go into music in one way or another.

The main reason I have so many guitars is they can't be sold very easily (south paw curse)and I'm not willing to lose a lot of money on them. lol

  • wow no wonder. you've been playing since before i was born. i'm 15 and i've been playing for 3 years!

  • IM A LEFTY SEND ME ONE OF YOUR GUITARS!!!!!!! fuck dude thats so intense, listen i play metal what pair of emg's do you think would work better for a more lamb of god style of music, 81/85 81/89 or 81/60?????

  • 81 for certain is your bridge pickup

    as far as a neck?

I've used 81, 85 + 89 in the neck position, but I think the 85 does the job best.

The 89 is cool that you can split the humbucker into a single coil for a strat tone...though I'd rarely be looking for anything on the neck other than solos or clean sounds, so the 85 is perfect for the world of Metal.

    Haven't tried the 60 though...

  • Sweet vid!!! Its nice to see another lefty out there. Plus I love the finish on your #3 Ibanez RG 560

  • dude awesome guitars and setup! gotta question tho... what's the song? it's awesome! i couldnt find the name so if i missed it, sorry...

  • That background music is just a riff of mine on my seven string Drop-A and my drum machine...I still have to really build a song out of it. One day when I'm caught upo on all my music projects I will record that song and video perfoprm it and stick it up here...I was thinking of calling it "My Monster" lol

  • awesome stuff, hope you get to it soon! i'd love to hear that piece completed... thanks for answering~!

  • dude sweet guitars!i love the peavey Tracer.

  • The wood of that guitar is so heavy...it is a beast with balls.

  • Great Collection

  • Wow your guitars are tight! I cant believe how many you have!

  • cheers for the advice, so how do you change/make bigger the teeny standard holes designed for .9 .42, i mean thats just far too light for propper metal for me, would you solder, take your guitar to a shop, i would love to know because im dumbfounded

  • I never had to ream out my other 5 peg holes on my tuners (as the bigger strings fit) but had to on my fattest low-B string for some of my guitars. I would drill it out with a high-speed drill bit...carbide or titanium tipped will be what you need for hardened steel as it is tough!

  • You could also remove the tuner that you need to drill from the head stock and carefully place it in a vise if you have a nice guitar. Most of mine are beatup and I just went for it with the drill while the peg hole was on the guitar. Risky. lol

If you don't have the tools, just bring the strings you want on the guitar anbd the guitar to a shop and let them do it. Might run you around $50---complete guess though.

  • dude 0.68 is a bass string so how DID you manage to get it through the teeny hole, please tell me.

i hate treble strings so the lightest for me would be 0.18w or 0.24w

    and lowest 0.90

your sound is awesome, a bit like soulfly but some truly nice equipment there!!

  • Thanks for the kind comments!

I've used .66, .68 and .70 sold by Ernie Ball as separate guitar strings...Musician's Friend.

I used to get the D (.65) off my bassist for using as my lowest string (tuned B or B-flat). Some pegs are a little narrow and need to be reamed out to fit the string. I only do this on my double-locking trem guitars as a regular nut would have to be filed out for this and would not be in a condition to be used again for regular tuning.

    continued on next comment...

  • Luckily, on the Ibanez, the lock nut and bridge handle the extra diameter readily. Afger the B string, I use heavy bottom E A D and the unwound G + B to finish up (XL 10-52) I set aside my high E (.10) for spares to my E-tuned guitars.

The G is also tuned down to F# so all fingerings are the same as a regular tuned guitar.

The 18w is just begging to break on you as the core is tiny. My 'D'(wound) is always the first to go when i play, as I really play my bridge chugging aggressively.

  • so this is where all the left handed guitars have gone!!! i cant find a left classical anywhere!! got a nice schecter 7 tho! nice collection..

  • hey man, nice collection!! i was reading your description about maintaining your guitars, specifically replacing stripped parts. do you know where i could get any information about what to do when you have a stripped truss rod??? i would very much appreciate any info at all.

  • You might be able to unthread it and remove from the neck on some makes, but not all. If it comes out, you're in decent shape...if it is stuck, you are either looking at a new neck or some major surgery on the one you want repaired, as they would have to lift the fingerboard. I haven't come across this problem so I really don't know where to look for help...Google time!

  • Hey,

I just purchased an RG1570 because it's the best value prestige on the market, once you changed the pickups it's simply awesome. Anyhow I'm what you'd call a "Noob" so I need some advice. I wanna drop a set of new Seymour Duncan blackouts in it but I'm not sure what I'd to with the single coil in the center...Should I just leave it there disconnected? I don't know?

I'm very anal about my guitars so please help.

  • I leave the dummy pickup in the middle, but I screw it down so it's not in the way of the pick when playing. You can buy solid plastic covers for the single coil "dummy" pickup so it will look nice with the Semour Blackouts...let me know what you like or don't like about the blackouts: for clean, rhythm and lead tone as I am interested in those as well, but have only EMG pickups.

I agree with you 100% on the Prestige...it's awesome!

  • Thanks, my friend has a set in his RG, there absolutely awesome. Tonally, they're just lethal and they're quieter than EMGs (hard to believe) The tone isn't as compressed so they sound much warmer...and best of all they're more powerful. As far as cons go, there aren't any. I can go from sublime cleans to chuga, chuga, chuga.

I was going to go for the livewires but they require 18v and they're really noisy. So I'd opt for the blackouts.

  • Thanks for the blackouts...review...I'm sold!

I tried the livewires 10 years ago and couldn't get a clean tone and swapped them out for EMG's...now I want to try the blackouts as they seem to be just right.

  • Oh, I forgot to ask...Where can you purchase those plastic covers?

  • I won the solid pickup covers on Ebay...look under musical instruments...parts and accessories and select pickups and you should use a key word like "Pickup Covers" They were really cheap...I got 3 single coil covers for under $10 and that'll do three RG's center pickup so it looks all the same...even though it will be non-functional.

  • yea i guess so... i love ibanez anyway man. nice guitars

  • ok u have like millions of dollars obviously.... wheres all the fenders and gibsons?

  • That would require another million dollars. lol

  • are ou left handed or are just the pictures mirrored?

  • I'm a Lefty.

  • i thougth the left handed guitars were crappy but those one look very nice

  • most of it are ibanez

  • i got a 1967 gibson flying v

  • wow.. thats a lot of nice stuff
