  • Really good, Great job

  • Hundreds of videos like this on youtube, no one bothers to post the name of the MB effects they use or their custom settings.

  • I think the 0.30 is the only film like... LOL

  • Wow. Only a 35MM lens could match this.

  • what's the difference between magic bullet looks 1.2 and magic bullet looks v2?

  • Another way to get a warmer overall bias is to use a 1/8 or 1/4 blue filter with Rosco Tough Frost, then point the camera toward the key light and do a custom white balance. You could also do this with 1/8 or 1/4 mounted on foamcore.

  • number four is damn nice. can you get this for AE and FCP?

  • AE yes, not sure about FCP

  • 00:14 , sorry ;)

  • 00:26 is the only one near film - nice cold colours

  • It doesn't necessarily has to be film like. Color grading is about free form art.

  • ok true, got me.

  • @EugeniaLoli So many people try to get there digital cameras to look as if it were shot in Film Strips.

Which is totally okay! And Film is no doubt a killer look! With film you actually get more clarity to subjects that are over exposed and under exposed. With Digital you really just get what you have in the exposure.

The Red One is definately the closest to having that film look.

But the point is there is such a thing of a cool "digital look".

I believe that there is versital attributes.

  • @imsamjacob This is why I always advocate people shooting "flat" with their cameras, to get as much dynamic range as possible on their stream.

  • @EugeniaLoli Exactly. I believe the default settings on RED's are all flat.

I've been working with dealiest catch producer and all they use are Reds and a couple of panasonics. Panavision makes good film cameras.

Though all the Film Rigs like the ones Christopher Nolan uses, are not open for public use & only through Production companies... Big Production Companies.

So once again, if you can get your hand on a panavision, I believe those are the only Cinema Film Rigs for Public.

  • short and good.

  • 0;16 was awesome

  • i have sony vegas 9.0 platnum, and downloaded a trial version of magicbullet, but can't seem to get it to work. It says the file is corrupt/andor its of an unsupported format?

  • Thanks 4 sharing your great magic bullet Techniques. I feel it's going to help my overall post production. Sterling

  • wow, the one at 16 sec. looks really good!

  • sorry for my ignorant question,

but can somebody tell me how do I install magic bullet inside of adobe premiere???

  • What about Magic Bullet Looks, the stand alone program. Is that included in the plugin?

  • That's what I used back then for this video. Since then I got "Magic Bullet for Editors 2.0" for Vegas.

  • u think i should bother with coloured filters? or just do everything in post?

  • You get a better quality with filters, but thing is, if you decide against them, it's better to have the option.

  • i quite like sepia, but when ever i do it in post it looks kinda lame, i think a sepia lens would be quite good

  • yep.. this is nice:)

  • my favorite two clips here are is the boat one and the rocks with the snow on it.

  • is Magic Bullet a program?

  • it's a filter for some video editors.

  • what setting was used at 16 seconds (the rocks w/ snow on them)? Gorgeous.

  • Thanks. The template used was the "Green Pearl".

  • I see what you mean, is it hard to do? By the way i just wrote you a few days ago on the hv20 dot com site lol

  • hard to do is not, but Magic Bullet costs $400.

  • Torrent.....booya!

  • if you can find a working one, pm me a link
