I agree with you DrEvilJake-- this band is EXTREEMELY smooth live. Saw them at Blues Alley and they really knocked our socks off. Props to Marcus Anderson as well (guy who sings) for winning the Capitol Jazz Fest Challenge Award. He's extremely talented as well check out his website on myspace
yall need to quit haten....all was great both,,,,can you do that circular breathing....only other person i have seen do it was kenny g.....all this is good stuff....if you cant stand it get outa the kithcen......
Sounds like the guy playindatsax is hatin on Marcus Anderson. Don't hate cuz his solo was KILLIN and that other sax guy was okay but that high note was not cute.
This is what smooth jazz should be about (real music). A tight band, under the stars, no fighting and everybody has thier pants pulled up!!! I'm not mad at this cover version of Say Yes. Some lovers of jazz do not appreciate this but let me say for the record, I am starving in San Antonio TX for a real musician such as Marcus Johnson and his fabulous band. Thanks for not being selfish with the stage Marcus. The sax solo was sick and the vocoder effect was insane.
Very cool I have a couple Marcus Johnson records and I'm never disapointed and the Sax player was KILLING IT. But the last dude needs to be a little more original. Mike Philly took what Michael Brecker did with the EWI and took it to another level. It seems this guy is just a copy cat that does not take it anywhere else.
he is a beast

yes I don't like the high pitch sax either. Not even showing his real talent but that's the way it goes when they freestyle
