I know they said she switched to the double front with half turn to be more consistent, but she is SO inconsistent with that dismount. She showed much more consistency with the double layout and it looked a million times better. That dismount is HIDEOUS.

I used to love Shawn Johnson but i saw Nastia and i was like, damn she's like a friggin swan. Also, she isn't that typical short and stout muscly gymnast who looks like a 10 yr old boy, she is almost like a dancer, and beautiful and she arches her back like a gazelle and i just love her! i really hope she is in london this year!

i don't think that is the right dismount for her she can train and train to perfect it but it just doesn't work (plus its very ugly) and her long legs aren't just right for it.

On her pak saltos I'm always slightly afraid she's going to carry on over the low bar and face-plant into the mats on the other side. Her Gienger was massive though, she gets incredible height, I would have loved to have seen her do a Def

wow nastia is soooo good about saving her dismounts

I've seen so many videos where her knees were 2 inches of the ground yet she always manages to shoot that foot out !! Nastia is one of my FAVORITE gymnasts.

Yuo can see, she clearly knows this routine by heart now.

What surprises me is the gymnast's ability to swing and tumble i mean it's sooo hard to keep the momentum going on......... Yet gymnasts are the vry few people who can...!

She missed a lot of handstands in this routine and her dismount was so sloppy. Trials are always way over-scored. I wish she'd go back to her double layout dismount. It was so much easier on the eyes than that frog-legged double front with a twist.

Haha her dad during her dismount. Pull pull pull pull pull pull!!!!!!! If my coach said that during my dismount I would stop rotating;p she's so beautiful! I don't know what you're talking about everyone, the ONLY deduction was the dismount. Her feet seperated a little right before the geinger.

@MusicMadd3 That's her father, who was also her coach. He came up to her to ensure that she would execute her releases correctly. I think the term for that is "spotting".

Simply amazing. I love gymnastics with all my heart but my family can't afford it and took me out of it:( and there barely would have been anything to deduct if her landing was better(: but she Is amazing!

@shadows103light because there were Canadians in the audience? not sure, seems kinda strange since it was the US Olympic trials, unless Canadians were having trials there too and they just didnt show it. Can't see that, we have our own trials....there was probably a Canadian in the audience lol.

@shadows103light This took place at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, home to the Flyers hockey team. A lot of NHL teams are from Canada so they have the Canada flag there for them.

@GymnastLyricGirl Woww she's the national bar champion. She's not overscored she's just the best. Try doing what she does and post a video. And she doesn't need a big dismount cause she had the hardest bar routine in the competition.

@sherbley3 Why does EVERYTIME someone posts a negative review of a gymnast that someone pipes up saying, "Well why don't you show us if you can do it?" ....lol. Not being able to do something doesn't negate this persons ability to know whether or not that was a well executed routine. Do you have to know how to play a guitar to know that a band is good at it or not? Do you have to be a film producer to know a movie sucked? No.

i love Nastia but she's always so over scored on bars for her form brakes, every giant swing to a release move bent legs, legs apart on her cast to handstand, legs apart and toes Un-pointed on her pak salto! And such a low landing! There should at LEAST be a full point and a half deductions and it just wasn't taken

This routine wasn't as good as her Olympic ones. Her right knee almost touched the floor, and there were a few form brakes in her routine, but I LOVE NASTIA SO MUCH! :D <3

yea if you pause it at :55 its way to hard to argue a point that they didnt not. but the judges found that point cause her score shows no fall.
