I wish she would stick to Persian dancing and not to mix Flamenco movements, Both of these dances are beautiful separately and she should not mix them. the Flamenco movements are so obvious and they just don't belong together.

This is breathtaking, she is as graceful as the wind. I've always thought Persian women take their energy from the air when they dance. Their gestures are so feminine, delicate and elegant. I can easily imagine her dancing for kings.
We are so proud of you brave, beautiful Persian woman. The darkness of Islamic evil is disappearing with your courage and brightness. Keep fighting with this darkness. You will prevail.
Islam is not evil, for God's sake this Persian dance is influnced by the Islamic Sufi tarighat, which was developed by creative Iranians during the Sunni period that last for 1000 years, which was considered the golden era of Iran as science, art, literature reached its peak!
Iran was mostly productive, elegant, and open during the sunni period as it was liberal and moderate.
Dance is nothing do with Islam, in fact dance is Haram ( forbidden) in Islam. If the Sufism have a flavor of Islam, it's the very limited acceptable part of Islam not the inhumane bulk of it.
Religions are not put for people to follow strictly, the problem in Iran that the current regime is tracking Shia ideology which is a mutated brutal version that has destroyed everything beautiful in Iran. Some people just dont realise this fact. Dancing in all religions were restricted in a way, but not totally. Prophet Mohammad when saw people of Medina dancing, he never stopped them. Sunni ideology tends to be liberal, thats why art flouriched during sunni period of iran.
Persia has been destroyed by Shiasm, starting with Safavids who isolated Iranians from all other people, slaughtering them badly worse than mongols did to enforce shiasm to serve their own purposes. Atleast during the Islamic conquest, Persia remained Zoroastrian for 200 years!! Conversion started volunteerly/gradually by the elite/nobility of the Sassanians who later established local persian dynasties such as Samanids, Saffarids, Ziyarids, etc. All liberal sunni.
Modertae Sunnism is flexable and tends to be open and liberal. Thats how Iran/Iranians accepted Islam and appoached it. People were even more free than how Zoroastrian controlled people as its based on castes such as in Indian hindusm where knowledge is only for priests. Where in Islam it was open. Sunnism never controlled politics, its only ONE element of the society & never controlled people's life. Wine, music, prostitution, free art, all such kind was OPEN during sunni era.
Look at Turkey today, VERY secular country, and people are free to adhere whatever they want. Still religion exist and is respected for its cultural heritage and history. Religion has always accompanied humanity since day one. Religion is not the problem, its the abuse usage of religion. Just like when you over take extra portion of a medicine.
I feel so sad for how Persia ended up with monsters like Khomaini/Khamenei who destroyed our nation.
I try to spread a message of moderation, the fact of history that Iran's glory started to fade once Shiasm invaded.
Islam is not an Arabic religion as being thought by nationalists, but Shiasm is surely Arab based because it only teaches to whorship symbols suc h as Hussain and Ali etc. As if there is nothing else to do but to praise these symbols. Who gives a damn about characters?! Religion is supposed to be spiritual haven and NOT a fan club for individuals!!
I'm a Persian from Shiraz, from the minority of sunnis who managed to escape Safavid attacks, and eventually by end of Qajari days we couldn't stand the humilation by that corupted turk dynasty who forced my community to pay double taxes just because we're sunni!
Whether you agree with me or disagree, lets me share this piece of poem with you...
Agar Pars be joz viroon-sara nist *** Man in viroon-sara ra doset daram.
@maa1441 please stop sunnis & division, you are persian & we love who ever respect iranian nation culture & heritage, this kind of division done by ZIONIST & I want you wake up & be educated,SADAM kill so many SHIA & we as persian like sunnisI people stop think like ZIONIST,where ever you go be proud persin & say it & do not call your self SUNNIS, no division in ISLUM, is not USA to be black or white & you know any body come to iran & create division is not belong to iran like ZIONIST and USA
Does this form of a dance have a history (e.g. similar for example to belly dancing for arabs, or flamenco for spaniards) or is it simply a modern ballet-like dance inspired by the folklor of sima bina and rolling dervishes?
It is a very elegant dance with very elegant moves. I also like the Ud music that is accompanying Sima's song. I did not notice an Ud in her other videos which you posted.
Hi Mod, very correct guess! this style is more innovative. Despite exotic Arabian belly dancing with long history , this dance is elegant, covered, spiritual, inviting and presents some kind of heavenly environment like Sufi devotion. It's prayers or a kind of reverence. Benfsheh invented this style inspired by ancient Persia and middle eastern music associated with which hers which helped her making a kind of a contemporary or modern Iranian dance. Ud is beautiful, spiritual and pure.
@ThePersianGulf Em I dont know about that Brother! As you might know Dance is an Experession but insted of talking one use her/his Body. Throu out history we have had Good thinkers and we also have had very good Dancers too. Something very similer to this Dance has been danced for Kings for a very long time. Our problem mostly has been that we have a group in our society who would very much like to destroy our Traditions and religion and Culture. I am sorry to say that they have won, to some D. J

Even 80% of sunni references were Iranians!
Blame shiasm for destroying the beauty of Iran.

@ThePersianGulf
Some of her moves are taken from Raqs Sharqi. Others from rolling derwishes. Others completely innovative.
I can almost picture a picture a whole group dancing together with incredible coreography on this music. They should make more of this persian.
Also after seeing this i am pretty convinced that rolling dervishes should all become women.
