@qommoq dude picking techinique is a huge part of guitar playing i mean if the entire time you only picked down it would sound like fuck. besides it also helps with making the motions of playing easier so that you can focus on more important things like stage presence.

Picking only becomes an issue at higher speeds.

To tell you.I personally, for this song just use my distortion pedal. and at 1:05 I switch it off for a few seconds and flick my rhythm switch, turn the volume to 6 and 4 for treble.Thats just how I do it.

I've found it to be about a quarter step down from standard. It really helps on this one to have a chromatic tuner with the little display that swings the bar with the pitch (so descriptive, haha). From what I understand the song is tuned this way because the tape machines were calibrated incorrectly. Or, at least that may be a good theory.
