Kudos my UK brother.....my friend and I are in a cover band playing this song as part of our setlist; he is my rhythm guitarist and I play bass. Do you have any kind of tutorial or assistance you can give or lend in learning the segment where you do the keyboard fills before the chorus and Joe sings " Look what you've done to this rock n roll clown" ? Please email to muzikman.angelone@gmail.com if possible. Much thanks my friend; keep rockin it !!!
Who needs to watch his fret hand to figure it out when you have ears? Use them, it works better and helps you develop your stuff and the picking well.....it's always nice to know what the picking hand is doing.
not wanting to overstep here but it kinda looks like the PC-1 but I cant see the headstock...I believe its a Jackson either way..a soloist or maybe a performer..idk..but i will say this..i got a jackson similar to that one blonde transparent finish..I cant for the life of me find where it came from but its got the 01 #'s that are supposedly korean made..but either way it kicks ass..
First of all you messed up at the start and second , I can't see what yer fingers are doin! I been playin for 33 years and I don't l;ike giving up secrets...
@qommoq dude picking techinique is a huge part of guitar playing i mean if the entire time you only picked down it would sound like fuck. besides it also helps with making the motions of playing easier so that you can focus on more important things like stage presence.
@GuitarmanSDW Well maybe you should LOOK at this clip. ITs all down strums.....duh. except the slow arpeggio at 1:05 - 1:20 and the lead break. These are all slow, and it wouldnt matter how you picked them.
Picking only becomes an issue at higher speeds.
Clearly you have no clue about guitar playing, you sound like a beginner ...so plunk away and good luck, dont come on here spouting shit, ok?
@tommy81296 I Started About Two Year's Ago And Learned The String's And Chord's. Came Back To It In The Summer And Got A Electric For Christmas. First Song I Learned Was "Photograph." Just Not The Solo, Don't Got A Whammy Bar :(
How many years do I have to practice to be this good? That Is pure perfection! I just wish your fretboard was facing the camera so I can see what's going on better. Thanks for the videos.
Great cover! I've almsot got the song myself, I just wish i knew that outgoing riff / solo at the end of the song but I can't find it in any of the tabs! :(
@FenderStratocaster06 it is around half step or even 1/4 step tuning, if you have a tuner, set the pitch to around 437 hz, thats what i do when i play something from pyromania album
the part i can't seem to figure out is the solo at the end of the song. it sounds good and i'm close to figuring it out. good video. i like when they played it standard tuning in the round

@GuitarmanSDW if you need to see picking "technique" for this, give up guitar playing. you have no hope .

to tune your guitar 100% for this song:
use the sound from the slidings between 3rd and 5th fret on G-string (at 1:20 to 1:24 on vid), this will be your REFERENCE when you tune the guitar on the other 5 strings :)
this songs tuning is NOT 100% Eb, but pretty close.
good luck!

I've found it to be about a quarter step down from standard. It really helps on this one to have a chromatic tuner with the little display that swings the bar with the pitch (so descriptive, haha). From what I understand the song is tuned this way because the tape machines were calibrated incorrectly. Or, at least that may be a good theory.
