@MGazT The simulation will look different at each run.

In real life, unpredictable parameters (wind, ground vibration, moon attraction, ...) would perturb "randomly" the movement of the cubes. So there would not be two similar runs.

In this simulation, the physical engine uses time-based operations (integrations, derivations) to calculate the object positions. From one calculation step to the other, the elapsed time is unpredictable so each run will be different ;).

@alghq yup, that's the problem with physx programs, you need a +- variable on every physics action for dust, grease and general imperfections in the objects otherwise it looks just like a canned animation that somone hand animated also, there seems to be no air in this animation, the bricks should be knocked around a lot more by the air turbulance unless they're 'really' heavy we also don't know the scale of this so its hard to comment!

The scene was created using 3dsmax 6 and exported to a proprietary format by a script I desgined. This was years ago during my short geek period. I have no longer the time to reactivate the project but I will definitly add a link to the binaries once I gathered all the files.

yes it does. Collapses tend to follow the same patterns everytime. Buildings carry their weight on the interior of their structures. Otherwise they would only be restricted to about 10 stories. That's why the WTC collapses look like "controlled" demolition collapses. In truth, they always look the same. Conspiracy nuts just ignore that.
