It's easier to go from hitting softball to baseball than vice versa. Some of the better pitchers in men's softball can pitch upwards of 90mph WITH spins on the ball. Not just a straight pitch like a baseball fastball.

A softball mound is 46 feet away, compared to 60 feet in baseball. If you'd like to do the math, a 90mph riseball in softball is equivalent to pitching a baseball at about 117mph from a baseball mound.

The ball is slightly bigger, yes. But with that speed/distance, you need it...

sure the concept is the same, but the ability to hit softball compared to slowpitch is worlds apart. What this guy does is impressive in the fact that he can hit a softball 450 feet. He's doing so off a pitch that is designed to be hit 450 feet. If he were to hit something like that off of an actual pitcher who is trying to get him out would impress me more.
