The conflict between North And South Korea, has worsened I think. Sometime ago the USA sent troops over to South korea to help them fight off North Korea. Judging from the recent press USA sent more troops. Now im not sure if you know this but, but S Korea is practicing military tactics with USA. More so because North Korea bombed a South Korean Boat that killed 11 board deck. Since that time North Korea has been making more threats. And My country USA acts on those threats seriously.

My teacher says that NK is so weak that they couldn't preform a coup d'état even if they wanted. He also says that if NK decides to declare war is most likely because someone else told them to.

Also, Obama said that he is already ready, standing by, to help SK if NK decides to attack.

I think Koreas should just stay as they are and declare permanent peace and all that stuff... War is both stupid and hurtful, especially to NK :x

I know for a fact that NKorea & SKorea will never go to war again. Remember NKorea invaded to reunify back in 1950. NKorea realizes it's the SKorea that is in a position to decide when to reunite. SKorea wants to wait little bit longer so there is little disturbance on the economy. Koreans don't want the chaos of WGermany & EGermany when they reunified.

i think its interesting that the south korean government are using kpop songs to demonstrate that they are a 'free' place. Though it would be my dream that south korea would be more free also, in particular for gay and lesiban citizens, no automatic sign up for the army and for it to be more socially accept to ask for help when depressed. but i think that SK will get there! i believe in it

The thing with the Korean War in the 50's was that China and the USSR were on their side. USSR is now a capitalist Russia and China has become more capitalist too (while retaining communism). Basically it would be an economic suicide. The nuclear weapons thing seems more like a way of making NK seem more powerful

Ah, this issue has arisen ~ My parents area also worried about me being in Korea right now. I told them that there's nothing to worry about. Right now there's only a propaganda war going on and harsh criticism from SK to NK. Everyone is too excited for the World Cup! 대한민국 파이팅! :D
