  • 0:10 looks like the car doesn't have abs in this commercial?

  • Awesome, this is the car i have right now, same color even, 225,000 miles and counting

  • this commercial reminds me of a scene from unsolved mysteries!

  • Always one of my favorite designs. Too bad Honda stopped making it!

  • Mr Meredith had one of those distinctive voices. I'll go around, repeating the one or two lines in the commercial, just trying to say it just like him. RIP Burgess

  • '

yes this car is better than ford, gm / gmc

  • @bestamerica hell everythings better then gm lol

  • 95yj,

    '

    even better than dodge

  • @bestamerica these were not better than dodges sports cars in the 1980's

  • Japanese cars in the 80s were the best!!!

  • @Moocow002

    Yes they were!

But like the mullett, most of that has past.

  • Who the F%&*# dare to dislike this video

  • This was my first car and I used to race my best friends 87 mustang 5.0 of course he would beat all the time but I out raced him everytime...I remember a few occasions where he would blow by me as if I was just standing there but a couple of miles down he would be on the breakdown lane with his hood up and over heating as I would drive on bye laughing my ass off... Good times !! I'll never forget.

I eventually sold the honda with 190,000 miles for $4000 bucks to a mexica dude...

  • @Bankster76 i still day dream about racing in such amazing piece of creation

  • Comment removed

  • i love honda. especially old ones.

  • Acceleration: 1/4 mile in 16.68 seconds

  • 74,000 views so far and 0 dislikes .....

  • @jairokg YOU JYNXED IT!!!

  • I love how this commercial is posted under the "comedy" catagory

  • Runnin 16s on the track... yeah buddy!!

  • Yeah, I liked mine a lot, but it had so many miles on it, the specs in this commercial really no longer applied. I would love to find one in "time capsule" condition though.

  • Who walks? Where the hell is this place? Remained mystery.

  • My cousin had one of these...we beat the absolute piss out of that poor car. I think it eventually blew the head gasket, and they junked it. I kinda wish we'd have tried to save it.

  • Burgess Meredith?

  • Wow. Back when seniors' voices actually were okay to sell sporty cars to the young market.

  • vtec was born.

  • This, and many other things now, makes me wish it was still 1986 or so. I would go buy a new Prelude today if so. They were cool cars. Thanks for sharing.

  • F*cking awesome! I love Honda!

  • i have a 87 with 325,000 on it still runs good.

  • me too!!! xD

  • @ lilbitolove1234

    I blive you

  • I have this car with 290,000 miles!!!!

  • @y4tricky4 mine has 200k plus too!

  • @y4tricky4 this car gave me orgasm when i was 12 years old and it is still the car of my dream ever since

  • wow I cant believe we used to like that box type of look back then.. its so ugly lol

  • It realy isnt so ugly compared to some of designs on todays cars...

  • your right.. this looks better than most american cars lol

  • @raidacaipo An acquired taste maybe? I love these old angular styles! Like the MR2 and the Starion....

  • @nightmathzombieethan well the mr2 may be able to get away with it but not this prelude

  • I just got my first car. Its a 1986 Prelude. Its black though, and an automatic.

  • I use to own that same blue si in the commercial. Yeah!

  • i own one of these, great car, 160 bhp

  • It sucks that manual transmission are becoming extinct like VHS

  • I know :(

  • @mokos23 I hate automatic transmissions. Nothing but problems.

  • @mokos23 I kno, my uncle has 1 and its jus sitting in the backyard too, I want it but its gonna cost alot to fix it up

  • @mokos23 agreed. can you believe they actually made the new fiesta faster with an automatic transmission than the manual?

  • @mokos23 AMERICANS ARE FUCKIN LAZY THATS WHY! LOL!

  • @PHADEDFAMILY whatever dude its because americans drive much further per year than anyone else.

  • There's not a lot of those anymore. Especially manual trans.

  • LOL 145ft brake distance!

    I don't think they should've advertised that!

  • At that time, it was a good distance. That is kind of like horsepower, car have better numbers today.

  • What's the difference between the prelude SI vs special edition of this same car, 2nd generation prelude?

  • They are the same, special edition was for Canada.

  • I love my 1986 prelude. Nice little car =)

  • the best car I ever had!!

  • I test drove one brand new in 86 exact same colour---smooth and quiet. Nice!

  • i now own a 1993 2.2 vetc si 4th gen at 210bhp

in my own opinion i think the 4th gen is the niced lude but there all the best cars on the road :)

  • if u do ur research ull find out this is still holding its record as the best handling car all around,. of course some new stuff can outhandled it , they also have all new suspension parts. give it the same and it will murder all competition . honda did a outstanding job with it .. go 2g

  • hey guys, i bought a 91 prelude spec S and I was wondering if anyone knew the stock engine in it and how much HP it has please, thank you.

  • your car should have a 2.0 I4 135HP motor

  • I looked at the motor and it's a b20 a5.. how much hp is that .. I think your right master, 135 .

  • I own one of these. Car is a piece of work. With some simple mods I run about 16.39. Don't have 5th gear anymore. But the car is still fast. It beat my friends Spectra at the drag by barely seconds. lol

  • i drive an 86 lude as well.

mine prolly runs high 17's lol

    runs good tho

  • My dad used to own one and it was manual. It was so fun to drive, but on his we lost 5th gear, then 3rd, then 2nd lol so he sold it to some guy that wanted to turn it into a race car.

  • I own one of these. Too bad it's an automatic, but it's still pretty damn good.

  • WOW had the same expect car back in the day. Brings back great memorys

  • i have the same exact 1....but needs a tranny any got it.manuel to be exact....

  • Damn, now that is a classic.

  • I gonna make that in my Yugo

  • it looks like an oldsmobilo cutlASS

  • It looks like you need glasses.

  • looks nothing like a cutlas i had one of those and one of these what re you on

  • Hahaha love how this was recorded during Miami Vice.

  • this is how we roll haha, fucking well made cars, none better out there.

  • jedite govna svi

  • is it safe ??

  • I have a 5th gen now, but I had a white one just like the one in this ad. I had too much fun and crashed it. I'd still be driving that, my '99 civic si didn't really even compare.

  • Beautiful car. Solid, too.

  • i might buy one next week. (not sure yet)

  • ‹1› ‹(•¿•)› ‹1›

  • god this shit is so old

but hey everything has to have a building block of some sort

  • That old building block can still out handle most of the cars on the road today. Do your homework!!!

  • Awesome video - thanks. That's my car - '85 prelude SI in Montreal blue. Bought new 22 years ago, 140k miles young. Have never seen a worthwhile replacement and the darn thing is in better shape than I.

  • montreal? i got one like this and im living in quebec too, i live in a small town near of new brunswick, you probably know who is yves lapointe? the guy with the cleanest 83 prelude in qc

  • Narrator is Burgess Meredith (the Penguin on Batman)

  • I thought that's who it was! Thanks!

  • niceeeeeeeee

  • i love my car

  • Cute car! I like it!

  • Spoo-ky!

  • great car!!

    great design :)

  • I have the car in this video. I only drive it about 50 miles a year, but I love it.

  • The narrator totally sounds like Burgess Meredith... you'll remember this guy as Rocky's coach in the 1st Rocky ... great actor. Can anybody confirm? Chris in Montreal. (2nd Gen. Lude Lover)

  • my uncle has this exact car

  • CLASSIC. TIGHT ASS NAME FOR THIS CAR

  • This was the best car of the '80's!!!!!!

    I LOVE IT!!!

  • It still holds its own even today 20 years old and all of them not in good shape lol. It was the best car of the 80's no doubt about that. Was a dam good car during the 90s too. Besides owning 2 of them, I see 2nd gens all over the place every day here. They keep on running :)

  • Yea mon!!!

  • a used car they advertise :D

  • keep it up mate. But i have one.NOT SEEN THESE ON THE ROAD FOR THE LONG TIME. I HAVE THE EXACT SAME AS URE ADVERT ON HERE.IF I CAN BUY PARTS FOR IT ILL DRIVE IT ON WEEKENDS. WICKED ADVERT MATE

  • I can appreciate this commercial for the sheer fact that they didn't dub out the actual noises of the car or replace them with fake car noises (like so many car companies do in their commercials) to make the car sound better than it actually is.

  • Beatifull car love them

    Thanx mate
