We started our own company within 4 years of that. It can be done, it has been done and that is what living is about - taking care of your own. I give away at least 30% of my income willingly in gifts to others. I have nothing to be ashamed of. Wow. Do you honestly believe we haven't been where you are? Try having a 4 year old have a heart attack and require a pacemaker at the age of 4 once, with an 18 month old and $500.00 a week pay, pay cut and insurance cut that very week. That is what I lived through in the last big recession (Carter). My interest on my 1st home was 19 1/2% and we made too much money for aid. We pulled ourselves out of that $130,000 medical debt, eventually paid for our home (30k + 19 1/2% interest)!

For years, the Republican leaders have filled their followers' heads with paranoia and fear - the idea that liberals are against Christianity and other unfounded claims. Those on Medicare are out of luck if this passes. they will just be denied care since they aren't productive Americans. Forgotten is the fact that they paid for years into Social Security and Medicare while they worked.

Now most on Medicare are paying about $300 a month for Medicare insurance and Medigap since Medicare only covers 80%.

How much are workers paying each month for their employer covered insurance?
