@bypass12345 Its funny because it's usually that kind of suppression that makes young people implode and begin some sort of self-destructive behavior, like drinking, cutting, promiscuous sex, drugs etc. What you SHOULD focus on is teaching them to be proud of who they are because they know they're making the right choices, not punishing them for doing something you see as incorrect. Take some psyc classes and stay openminded.

@bypass12345, I don't want to cause any argument, but if you do hold your kids back from this, they will rebel against it. And by banning them to make friends with people who look 'emo' will eventually make them think that you are making them a person who they don't wanna be. I would know, my mother held me away from from people, didn't let me go to fieldtrips or to any thing out of our school campus, I rebelled against it, now my mother and I barely talk or see each other.
