I honestly don't know what's in federer's head. I never understood why fed couldn't win any of the 3 set matches against Murray, especially when he was up a set 3 times in 2008.

Some of his errors after Murray´s injure look intensional, like, well i´m not gonna lose to an injured man while playing my best, then i just play my worst and let Murray look ungreat, not that it is that way just looks like that!

the reason federer lost to murray in this match is that at that time he was still out of form and possibly could have won this tournament or at least become runner up in 2009 but starting off winning the aussie open i think he will beat murray again if they face each other

not delpo no he was playing great that day and the serve wasnt firing he didnt need a coach that day he needed to sort himself out as for murray he just needs to be patient and with nadal and both murray he planned a game plan for madrid and cincy and it worked so

Uhm not really imo, the only one that he's losing is himself. For instance, at this US open final, he could have won in straight sets but he's too careless and the "normal" Fed could beats Murray and Nole easily and a little more effort, Nadal. And again imo. Fed's great enough that he can generate motivation and strategy himself like what he have done tremendously great throughout his career

I agree that Fed can generate his own motivation, and he can and has remained #1 in the world without a coach. But I think he is finding more challenges currently. Murray, Nadal, Djokovic, and Del Po are a little more talented than many of his past challengers. So he could use some SPECIFIC strategy instruction against these opponents. Either way, I am Fed's biggest fan!

I think his strategies were good too, you can taka a look at FYB's videos that analyze his strategies against Nadal in Mardrid for instance :) I think Fed only lost beacuse of mental problem which I think'd be eliminated soon. And btw I'm a big Fed fan too haha

Federer lost completly his concentration in the third set at 2-1 15-0, you can see in the video at 5:50, Murray appeared to have injured after a fall and it seemed to upset Federer who approached the net for news, after that Federer was unable to keep his concentration and Murray did the break at 2-1, Federer made a lot of unforced errors, a very catastrophic third set, maybe a huge mental problem for Federer like in his Australion Open final against Nadal in the fifth set
