thanks Spud..in fact i enjoy as much the preparaton.....on hollidays i will have the radio with me..but i'm sure i will spend much more time in the water..together with my daughter who is a water rat as well....

Nice setup Michel..
For me, when refraction was realised, it took all the excitment away from me on HF.... though Sporadic E propagation is the exception of course :o)

now Alan?? sporadic E is refraction.isn't it??......so on one hand you don't like it .......and then on the other hand.......funny reaction if you ask me...
What i personaly don't like about HF are the way to short qso's and the lack of a decent conversation...just the report..and that's it..i've discovered the digital modes now.., they make HF much more interesting...with less power going much further...2qso's with guatemala nice
