Bands change and grow, if you've liked their musical choices up until this point, that shouldn't necessarily change just because their newer choices appeal to the masses. @jpenns Has nothing to do with their musical decisions, and everything to do with their business decisions. I want to love these guys until the end of time, but with a producer with a track record like that, I can't blindly follow them. As I said, the producer makes indie bands/musicians into pop music idols, which is something they don't need at all. They have a great style all their own, and they should evolve along those lines, not change to grab mass appeal.

@jpenns They have said straight up that this EP is the end of their old style, and that their simple, indie rock ways are basically dead come the next album. The producer is also famous for sell out albums, that manage to make the band very popular with the masses, but very unpopular with the base. Been a fan of this band for years now, and they've been in my CD drive in the car for well over a year (Great cruising music) but I just can't support their decision with this.
