The third time I told him: "You're annoying me, we're pressed for time. Please - move."

Try working 12-16 hour days.

@toastichedu People can only speculate what happened....but point-blank, YOU were not there. You can't make any judgment FOR CERTAIN. The most likely answer is that Bale just over=reacted. But that's based on what LITTLE information you had. You dont know how both parties felt, what kind of pressure everyone was under, how experienced both parties are, what day it was, etc: you don't know anything about the situation outside of that clip, so you can't be so quick to judge.

As a director - I've asked a sound engineer to give me some space, so I can concentrate on the scene at hand, that was hard and we were pressed for time. He just stood there, he wasn't necesarry nor useful.. I did it twice - he didn't do anything and sat there with some "fuck you" grin. The third time I told him: "You're annoying me, we're pressed for time. Please - move."

Tapes of actors "getting intense" are never released because no one has a motive to and there is little demand. Seriously. try being an experienced/well performing actor during an intense scene and you have a Director of Photography (of all people) distracting you. You would get pissed. For actors, they have to become an entirely different person, and act a specific way according to the scene. That being said, you can't deliver a great performance if there's a jackass being distracting. You people don't understand, you've never been on a film set. Things get hectic. Try working 12-16 hour days.

It makes me sick how these actors are all standing up for him and making it out like Christian's the victim here. All of these actors are douches in including Christian! Doesn't matter who you are, or what you do, or how much money you make, EVERYONE deserves to be treated with respect!!!

@toastichedu they're all lying in a way. You'll know when you see them lyin'. But unfortunately, to "protect" their good relation with Bale, ofcourse they'll have to swallow their ego and say "hey Bale is the victim here". Bale is a powerful actor, you don't want to burn a bridge associated with him. I would have done the same BS too just to protect my career and offers from bale.

It was the light guy who was disresepcting Christian by dicking around in a scene and not letting Christian do his job in the first place dude. Christian had no right to say some of those things i agree but it would be hard for anyone not to get pissed off after the 20th time someone is messing your professional work up by just distracting you a bunch of times

@GokuAUHunter He wasn't disrepecting Bale. He was just making stupid mistakes which he empahtically apologized for. Yet Bale continued to berate, insult, name call, and threaten voilence on that poor guy. I could see your point if he was doing that on purpose. And it was only twice he did that, not 20 times. If Bale wants respect he can go pound sand!

@toastichedu People can only speculate what happened....but point-blank, YOU were not there. You can't make any judgment FOR CERTAIN. The most likely answer is that Bale just over=reacted. But that's based on what LITTLE information you had. You dont know how both parties felt, what kind of pressure everyone was under, how experienced both parties are, what day it was, etc: you don't know anything about the situation outside of that clip, so you can't be so quick to judge.

@ChuckHitler Regardless of what I think or know, the point here is that Bale never once apologized to the light guy for berating and threatening him. Bale admits was was wrong in this clip and that's OK, but he only apologizes to his fans for his behavior, not the man he actually berated. Yes, I may have reacted the same way, but one thing I would have done is apologized to the man I hurt an for my behavior and I wouldn't have my peers backing me is if I'm a misunderstood man or the victim.

I'm not saying what Christian did was right or justified: I"m saying you just don't know anything about the situation other than what you can find out through the internet, and furthermore, you can't deny that you have reacted in a similar fashion. We're human. It's not like he actually assaulted the guy. It annoys me when a celebrity does something wrong and people all jump on it....like they've never done it either! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
