If you want to see the ultimate TFF fan, check out the singer of this music video. He appears to be wearing an autographed "Songs From The Big Chair" tour t-shirt by Roland and Curt throughout the whole thing. Their keyboardist even plays the Emulator II played by TFF during that tour. Paste the phrase below in the search box.
@MrRandomBoxes music kind of winds in and out with each decade. I think its going to get better. With Bands like Best Coast, Wavves, Beach Fossils, The Vivian Girls, Dirty Beaches, Mr. Little Jeans, Mellowhype, Hunx and His Punx, the National and Das Racist, it seems to be swiftly spinning around.
I fuckin love this song and most of Tears for Fears's music. Yes and Yes I heard this on GTA Vice City 9 years ago when I was playing that video game...Timeless music.
There is a great scene to look out for towards the end of the video...3:51 to be exact...Roland Orzabald gets a paper airplane right in the eye! OUCH!!!
@MrThemutsnuts I hear you. I don't have a lot of hair left, and what I do is about 25% grey. I even shaved off my beard off last year as it had too much grey in it. BUT back in the 80's I wore a mullet with pride! HAHahahahaha. On a happy note the good music still lives on.
So the reason for making my previous comment, was because I was tired of seeing comments like "thumbs up if you heard this song in {insert video game}" everywhere.
You'll notice I didn't mention the name of the video game. I played vice city when it first came out and I played GTA IV a few months ago. So it was about the youtube comments, not criticism of the game (and stop whining 'babies' you're just jealous).
@movienerd01 Fuck you! Im teenager (15) and i know what a good music is. Im not here because i play Gta Vice City but because I love good music. But i love Vice City too :D
@movienerd01 Teenagers? I'm 12 and I like this (although I only heard of this through GTA). The people who don't like this are the people who like today's total shit like Lady Gaga or Ke$ha.
@soppiedekuthond Sorry, but when did I say that you cared about anything? Or that I didn't listen to the music? Or that I didn't enjoy this song? Oh that's right, never.
@soppiedekuthond Wow, you sure are seriously pissed. Can't even put a bloody comment without you losing you raging. Just because you spend your entire life sitting on the Internet listening songs doesn't mean that I do, and that I ever came across those comments.

Great band but sheesh, these songs aren't for anyone who suffers from depression! LOL. I had a Tears for Fears Best Of CD and some old roommate stole it! Gotta go buy another one...
@andymckelvey1967 Tears for fears is not about depression at all. Although I agree there is a melancholy streak to much of their music, it is mostly about the contrast of sadness and happiness. Everybody wants to rule the world is the perfect example of this theme (although perhaps not the perfect example of their music).
@FrankHerfjord Didn't Roland and Curt write about their rather depressive childhood? Not saying that in every song, but I wouldn't say that Tears for Fears wouldn't be at all about depression :P
The Hurting was the only TFF album I really liked. I bought Songs from the Big Chair and threw it away after a week of giving it a chance. In retrospect, The Hurting wasn't really that much less produced than TFF's later work, but still, it's not as good. I guess I just wanted Curt to be the singer. Great memories...
@thecastman97 i actually feel for you - it was a strangely magical time for dance music, pop, hip hop, house etc people say the 89's were awful but as a kid i loved the time and remember it with crazy fondness and nostalgia always

1980: The good songs are popular
1990: There are still good songs, but are not popular
2000: 90% of what is popular is garbage
