'My' Lion cub did that too when I revisited her after 5 months. It is the best experience you could possibly have and brought the tears to my eyes. She was only 5 weeks when I left her and I never dared hope she would remember me, but boy, she did and what a reunion that was. She'll be 11 months next month, but I'm going back again.......

@TheAlphaHamster She was obviously looked after by others after I left, and no, they start getting fed meat from 2 months of age, gradually increasing the meat component and reducing the milk component in their diet. The cubs I worked with are on meat only by the time they are 5 months old
