It would be hard to imagine anyone outside of Wall Street who wouldn't prefer this to be our first Woman President (especially over Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin). Of course it's not really up to those of outside of Wall Street, is it?
i would stand behind miss kaptur anyday of the week. shes smart she gets it and she cares! i'm so very proud of miss kaptur! btw. i agree with you eduard36!
Democrats need to drop the hope of Hillary being their first female Presidential nominee, Marcy should get that nod (and I am saying that as a Republican. I would vote for this lady!)
The only real outrageous spending by government now is Iraq and the bailout. And the bailout is of corporations whose taxes have been cut to zero and who send the jobs and profits out of the country.
@TheVampirella You have to bailout the financial instituions in order to save this economy from a depression. This is exactly what happened in the great depression, financial institutions went down, and we had a depression. Plus, the banks have to pay off the bailout with interest which has been paid up to 90% and America is making money on this bailout and the European bailout. Money well spent in my book.
@Andydag904 No, bailouts are not needed. You obviously do not know much about financial history because government involvement made the "great" depression much worse than it needed to be. Research the forgotten depression of 1920 (Tom Woods has some great data on it).
@TheVampirella it's all about shifting the aggregate demand in the economy, increase government spending and lower taxes. history proves that every president has done this. why do u think our economy is so efficient?
@TheVampirella obviously you didn't think about that question enough. Go anywhere else in the world and find me a normal family that has 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house house and owns 2 cars. see how many people can afford that. you can live in the united states and just graduate from college and own a condo and a car. nobody in the world can do that. how do u think we achieve a 14 trillion in real GDP?
@Andydag904 I hate to break this to you but not everyone/every culture is centered on material goods nor does everyone want to be in debt up to their eye balls like the average American. College obviously failed you.
America is not the happiest nation in the world. Why do so many nations rank higher in happiness?
@TheVampirella You're stating opinions, I'm stating facts. Fact is, America is still by far the best economy in the world. yes, our economy is growing painfully slow, but that doesn't have a huge impact on "happiness" across the world. And do you see banks coming to demand money from you all the time. no, they want you to pay that interest. no country wants us to pay back the debt, not saying we shouldn't try though. Lower taxes to increase demand, then increase them to pay back the debt
@Andydag904 I'm not sure what sort of mental gymnastics you have to go through to believe the BS you are typing but I hope they find a cure for your mental illness before you have to file bankruptcy. Good bye and best of luck with a cure.
@TheVampirella have you ever heard of an expansionary fiscal policy? better yet macroeconomics? and what do u think we should do to improve the economy since you know so much about it?
@TheVampirella *when the economy is growing at a steady rate again. The bailout is using tax dollars to increase demand. problem is, taxes are still too high for demand to increase.
marcy's great... we have mostly dickheads in nyc... schumer, clinton, fosella, and so on ...
btw, if one more "PARROT" says "we have to do something now" in my presence i'll slap their face! f&ck wall street! And throw paulson bernanke and the bush in jail where they belong!!
Marcy gets it - we don't want a North American Union, we don't want NAFTA, we don't want George Bush's One World Order, which is why he's pushing for this mess so fast.
It's just another false flag opperation to head the USA towards the North American Union. The dollar is going to fail for they will not protect it as Lyndon Larouche has shown them how it should be protected: watch?v=65-vfc40pcc

If we don't act now on this plan and put back into effect Franklin D. Roosevelt's plan to build our country the right way, we are going to be doomed in the long run. We must bring this plan to congress while they are wanting us to vote for them.

@TheVampirella Take an economics class, if we didn't bailout the banks, we would be in a depression
Andydag904 2 months ago
@Andydag904 History proves your assertion is wrong. Most economics professors are broke -- because they don't really understand how money works.

Marcy Kaptur for president. She is one of the few people who have brains!
Thats how it must work. Not like the mafia wants its to work.
Eduard36 3 years ago 9
She should try to oust obama in the primary in 2012! and if that doesn't work, she should just run as an independent.
