no conceal carry rights, bb guns are considered a firearm and actually require you to obtain a firearms id card in nj!!!

It was bolt action, could only carry 1 round, was kind of old and had a missing rear sight. Sounds kinda crappy but it was just going to be a rifle to shoot for fun and we were planning to fix the sight anyway. So than we ask the guy about getting a licence in NJ. He started cracking up and just said, "Good luck with that, be prepared to wait 2 years."
Oh and to show you how pussy this state is, a friend of mine said the name Herman Guering in class, ended up in two week detention. He didnt even do anything. Just said Herman Guering.

@copperjarhead That's a common misconception. Hollowpoints are not prohibited for legal purposes in NJ. I use JHP's bought at a local NJ gun store in my home defense handguns.
As per right to carry, technically you can carry if you demonstrate a 'justifiable need' to carry a handgun. In reality however, that is impossible. People specifically targeted by gangs have been denied a NJ carry permit because they 'failed to demonstrate a justifiable need'. Absolutely ridiculous.

guys i live in NJ and i hate this state i applied for a gun permit yes i got it but they made me wait 3 months instead ofthe mandatory 30 days because they were looking for excuses not to grant me permission.
well every friday or every end of the week i woudl call and ask about the status of my application for 3 months i did that lol dont know if that helped out but 3 months later i got a letter in teh mail saying to go andpick up the permit
i would go and check the status becuase if any of the two people u chose as refrences mest up that will delay it even more or maybe they didnt send the papers back andthe cops never got them so they saw an oportunity to sit back and do nothing and eventually blame your refrences for not sending the papers back
O no...that was over a year ago...iv since moved to VA...own a small arsenal and work for the state...and it was the same for a friend...he waited 9 months for the ID card and 6 months for handgun permit...he is a NJ state worker...
