  • that blonde mermaid looks like robert pattinson

  • @MyNamelsSylar I thought the saaame thing!

  • This piece is probably one of the most notable themes composed by hans zimmer. No joke, it´s original, you dont have the feeling of having listened to it before, plus, it has a sexy-obscure nuance on it, makes me remember Bram Stoker Dracula´s and many Danny Elfman´s soundtracks, but this is even greater than them.

  • Hans Zimmer is just absolutely amazing there are no words to describe him he is that amazing!!!

  • HANS Jesus Zimmer Christ God. Amen.

  • hans zimmer did an amazing job once agian!!!!

  • I think mermaids are the singers of this song....

  • god damnit Zimmer, you never stop amazing me.

  • Looks like 2 people have friends that were pulled to bottom by the sirens!

  • shivers

  • My kitchen started vibrating at 0:35...

  • Hans zimmer, GJ!!!

  • @ThatRandomIdea i meant his other potc musics by others, most of them at least. I wouldn't dare to say this to all of his other works. i loved his works for Modern Warfare 2, Sherlock Holmes, Pacific, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins and maybe some more. Actually i even like his loudy ones if it has some pieces of melodies. For example Modern Warfare's Ending Credits, or Discombobulate from S.Holmes but when he just fills the action with nonsensical loudiness in POTC that's when i don't like it.

  • Hans Zimmer 1-0 Mozart

  • Only this one was good, the others were just plain noise! I hate when Hans uses this much intensity in his musics. Just makes your head hurt. He did this in every music he made to POTC series. -Hell even this one has it after 5:05. He'll be much more appreciated if he stopped producing this loudy craps.

  • @berker1711 yay, someone that doesn't ride Hanz Zimmer's dick. :D I like him, but when he does stuff like the COD: Modern Warfare 2 soundtrack and some other stuff, it was meh, but you have to credit some of the amazing things he has done, like Inception and the main theme of this. (:

  • I also enjoy the intensity sometimes. It doesn't hurt my head. :o

  • 5:20

    I was like OH SHIT!

  • yay gemma ward is an aussie :)

  • my sis looks like gemma ward

  • best. pirates. song. ever.

  • ding dong ha we floss so sup-ah floss so softly

  • @Quiglaid what???

  • if u love your life......dont look after mermaid's :D

  • at 1:59 theres this super low booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmm i just wanted to know can someone answer. is that an instrument playing that or is it mixed in. if it is one what instrument?

  • @megadeth6999 I think it's a timpani roll of a low note, played softly. It's a percussion instrument but can be easily mixed in through any music program. It's just a guess though, Zimmer has used some creative sounds in the past and it could also be something very random or it could be a timpani roll but he's actually using something else to hit it with or he's muffling the sound a bit. Hope that helps.

  • @Souryuuha1 thanks man because i had my bass up more than usual and that low sound shook the hell out of my desk. it was crazy and i loved it.

  • Vampire Cat Mermaids! Hisssss! o,..,o

  • My good taste in music brought me here :)

  • When i hear this, my mind is simply lulled under water with the mermaids. Eric Whitacre and Hans Zimmer= perfection

  • I wanna be a mermaid... so freakin' baaaad.

  • Mermaid scene really brought a classic sense of fantasy to this pirates movie. I felt the krakan and the squid dude was abit uhmm out of place. The undead pirates kicked ass however. And blackbeard again fitted in better.

  • iLove Astrid! She's My New Fav Actress! & The Part With The Mermaids Is My Fave Part!!!!There Like The New Vampires! & iDident quite get the ending, does syrena kill the preacher or turn him into a merman, cus i dident understand that part, somone tell Me please!

  • I literally jumped out of my seat when I saw Eric Whitacre's name in the credits with Hans Zimmer. I screamed " COMO WHAT? ERIC WHITACRE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!" I could not contain my excitement, even though the two people i was with gave me the stink eye because they had no idea what i was talking about. This is the best music ever.

  • Oh my god I want to swim in the ocean with this song on! Hans zimmer you have a gift from god and im gladd your willing to share it with the world! Love this song!

I googled her photo's while watching the movie :P was more interesting to me xD

  • @JefJef7Jr oh yay ~! another astrid fan :) isnt she sooooooooo pretty ?

  • Hans Zimmer is a god.

  • @cardsfan092493 Keep in mind that this was a composition created by both Hans Zimmer AND Eric Whitacre - 2 of the most brilliant musical minds of contemporary music. <3

  • @cardsfan092493 I heard many people say that there is no power higher than God....if so, how could Zimmer be God? If Zimmer's God, then what exactly would John Williams' be?!

  • At 5:15 I swear i was so close to standing up and head-banging in the cinema XD

  • Comment removed

  • @SamScytheXx Well i did head-bang a little but not stand up...i wish -_- XD

  • The best part of this track is up until 2:00. I've heard a lot of people complaining about the soundtrack using the scores of the previous 3 movies too often, and at very badly timed moments (such as Davy Jones' theme playing during the London chase). Be that as it may, I must admit, the score is carried be these old themes, I found the new ones in this movie to be extremely weak. Luckily, the guitar pieces add a nice new feeling to the score.

  • When the blonde mermaid starts to sing, you know shit's going to go down.

  • You can hear Eric Whitacre so well in this piece :)

  • Can't stop to listening this amazing track.

    THANKS HANS ZIMMER.

  • I've become less of a Hans Zimmer fan these days. But this was just so damn beautiful.

  • 0:00 - 8:05 = HARDCORE GOOSEBUMPS

    Eric, let's make babies okay? c;

    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • This MUST be Hila Pittman singing. There is no more crystalline soprano on the planet. What a thrill it must have been to work with Mr. Zimmer! Congratulations to Eric Whitacre, and all involved in the creation of this masterpiece. I thank you for it.

  • 1:02 = goosebumps

    2:21 = goosebumps

    4:26 = goosebumps

    5:21 = goosebumps

    6:24 = goosebumps

    7:03 = goosebumps

    7:34 = goosebumps

  • My local Orchestra brought me here. :P

  • I`m completly in love with this song...

  • Hans Zimmer + Eric Whitacre = Goosebumps Xtreme!

  • this was one of the best soundtracks of all movies. Captivating!!!

  • Are they actually singing words or are they just arbitrary vowels and consonants.

  • @thatradperson usually it tends to be latin phrases that these choirs sing, but I can't say for sure what they're singing in this particular score

  • @DillonB1234 do you know where to get lyrics... or even if i need to contact Zimmer himself (or anyone representing him...).... in anyway...his business e-mail... anything....

  • bringing me goosebumps and i love it !!! <3

  • Eric Whitacre! No wonder.

  • omg amazing ! , thanks for uploading this !! :))

  • @DirtTankProductions At least for the first 10 seconds ^^... When the mermaids start singing, then it's completely different.

  • It reminds me of "waiting for a train"...

  • from 7:06 to 7:22 it was the best piece i felt goosebumps....

  • ERIC WHITACRE. HILA PLITMANN. HANS ZIMMER. Magic

  • this song is true absolute beauty

  • omg i have that poster in my room :DDDDDDDD

  • Um ya the mermaids were like Vampires and the one that fell in love with that dude wasn't hot. At least Keira Knightly is sexy!

  • @KingVerdo I beg to differ; the mermaids were pretty much EXACTLY how the original legends told of them: beautiful, dangerous, and bloodthirsty creatures with no qualms about killing sailors. Mermaids aren't supposed to be like Ariel from the Little Mermaid; they're supposed to be monsters. And as for Keira Knightly being 'sexy', I thought she was rather annoying, myself. They overdid her stupidity and her character was a bit too shallow for me.

  • @lupessreturns I never said the legends of Mermaids was wrong but I didn't like it. I personally miss will, norrington, beckett, jones, pintel and regetti. So many ppl were missing. And I don't think Elizabeth was shallow because she went with the man that was less prestigous.

  • @KingVerdo Oh, I took your comment to mean that you thought all mermaids were supposed to be kind and pretty, but not dangerous. And I don't think she was shallow because of her going with Will, I think she's shallow because of the way her character developed and how there really was no explanation as to how she was able to use a sword so expertly. She was, after all, a proper English lady, and her character flip-flops so much between Jack and Will, for no real reason other than pointless drama.

  • @lupessreturns Well I think the she would learn because of Will since they were going to marry in the second film and the time before the EITC came he taught her. Only makes sense. I also feel she was never going for Jack at all. She was just using him to save or get to Will.

  • @KingVerdo That would make sense, but it really is just speculation since it was never actually explained in the films. But anyway, you're free to your opinion and I am to mine, so I think we should just agree to disagree before this escalates any further. ^^;;

  • @lupessreturns Agreed lol. Although I wasn't going to curse at you like many ppl like to do on utube when someone has a different opinion than theirs lol.

  • @KingVerdo That's good, because I wasn't either. ^^ I hate getting sucked into stuff like that, it gets me too upset in the real world and affects how I act and such. ^^;; Plus, I have a hard time just letting things go, especially when they escalate to a huge flame war/trolling session. ^^;; But I'm glad we resolved this calmly. ^^

  • I wanna hear this when i die.

  • Holy sh*t when i hear this i feel like being in heaven...

  • YES! YES! YES! xD

  • Zimmer and Whitacre are geniuses

  • magical soundtrack

  • Got the soundtrack today...extremely beautiful in some way...

  • this part of the movie was actually pretty creepy...lol. I love Eric Whitacre!! He never fails to amaze me :)

  • Eric Whitacre did not bring me here.

  • This piece right here was eerie, creepy, beautiful, haunting, and intense all at the same time. Hans, Zimmer and Eric Whitacre did AWESOME with it.

  • this music is beautiful and fitting to the film. i saw the midnight premiere and it was fantastic

  • This score is both beautiful and dreamy. I saw the midnight premier and the music made the movie absolutely amazing!

  • Love it! Ah Eric <3

  • Yeah Eric Whitacre

  • Elfman's Batman theme?

  • Eric and Hans. Perfect match. I really wished Eric would be mentioned, at least at description. Shame. :-/

    Excellent music. Chapeau!

  • Whoa ... And I mean WHOA.

    Sent here by the Whitacre

Now i gotta see the movie to see how this is used.

  • This is how the whole score should have sounded like, not all that guitar crap.

  • this made me yawn.. sounds more like a lullaby.. = w=

  • HOLY FUCK.

  • WOW. Words cannot describe.

  • This absolutely blew me away! Eric Whitacre + Hans Zimmer FOREVER!

  • My brain has melted from the awesome-ness :D

  • This sounds amazing!

  • WHITACRE!

  • subs UP!!!!!!

  • Anyone else hear some "Cloudburst" in the beginning?

  • Whitacre<3

  • Eric Whitacre and Hans Zimmer need to write music together more often!!

  • @FrenchHornista63

They are both my favourite composer for two types of music...

Hans is in my opinion the best film music composer living and

Eric is the most amazing choir composer i know.

So a symbioses of them two needs a new word to be described.

  • @FrenchHornista63 I agree this piece is of epic proportions.

  • eric whitacre needs to do more film scores. pllleeeaasseeee!

  • Gah this is amazing!

  • Eric Whitacre brought me here!

  • Finally. I found it!

  • EPIC!
