i have a 4yr old and tho i do wish the animals didnt have to be abused....this has been going on for years.....theres a lot of other things to worry about...like animals being skinned alive for fur...homeless children in the United States...all of the natural disasters that have ruined haiti and japan...not that this isnt important but some people go to bat for the wrong things...this is honestly one of the least of our worries...instead of typing about it on youtube try and help make a change

@64mattrider True, but typing about it does make a change. It changes people's opinions and the sooner public opinion changes for the better the sooner we can phase out this bizarre activity. I also do not believe in any form of hierarchy that should dictate which issues should be addressed before others. Even a supposedly small argument such as this one makes the larger moral point that mankind should not abuse and misuse his power.

This circus is coming to my hometown, Montgomery, AL here in a few days. I'm priting out PETA's factsheet of how pathetic this group is and how they can't even take care of their animals in a decent manner.

Seriously, people think its fun to watch a helpless, innocent creature being whipped into submission and forced to perform when all they want to do is live peacefully?

I absolutely hate circuses that use elephants and other nonhuman animals to "entertain" witless morons. Are there really still fools out there who are impressed by this sick, sad performance?

If you haven't heard by now about the cruelty and abuse involved with circus animals, please go to circuses dot com. You will learn how horrible a life it is for captive wild animals to be kept in cages, only let out to perform silly, unnatural acts for witless customers.

@journeyman47 though I do understand and have seen animal abuse cases, but looking at these elephants here in this video, they look well fed, and their mood is more peaceful than some elephants in videos I have seen. I don't think people should abuse animals at all, but people have taught animals tricks since the days of English Kings and Queens. Not to mention how horses were taught things and never were in a circus.

@Timothy2035 Don't be fooled by what you see during the circus shows. Make no mistake, Universoul Circus is notorious for its cruelty to animals. These elephants have been dominated, beaten, abused and exploited just to "entertain" clueless humans.

Look at the video again, and hear how loud the stupid music is. Do you really think this is where elephants belong, and does this look to you like a respectful and compassionate way to treat them?

@journeyman47 Well I was noticing just the overall attitude of the elephants here in the video. They didn't look like they were under duress. Though if you have any videos that show the Universoul people actually abusing animals, send me a private message of the video link. I did not see anything regarding that.

@Timothy2035 I understand. But look more carefully. Notice the TWO bullhooks the handler is holding-- the elephants know that if they make a mistake they will get yanked by one in a tender spot, or even hit.

And notice how unnatural-looking and uncomfortable the tricks are that they are forced to perform.

You may not see them screaming (on stage, anyway), but they sure look unhappy to me.

Also, a circus will NEVER let visitors see what goes on behind the scenes. It is very difficult to get video of them beating and abusing animals. Nevertheless there is some on line; I don't know if Universoul is one of them.

@girlygurl3456 You do sound like you have some intelligence. I'm sure you enjoyed the loud music and bright lights and fluff and stuff-- anyone would. But I'm glad you noticed the WRONGNESS of seeing the huge wild animals being forced to "join the show'. You can help by please spreading the word to your friends to avoid the circus next time it comes around. Thanks!
