Good presentation, but I would have to disagree. Thanksgiving is something to celebrate with family, but in reality it isn't something worth celebrating. Yes I would have to some-what agree with the comments on here, but really, Native Americans were peaceful before the white man came. We worshipped the Creator aka GOD, but differently from way the white man seen it. Yes, other tribes had conflicts with each other because some tribes united with the white man's army to fight the opposing tribe.
So, in a way your presentation gives the good points about celebrating in Thanksgiving, which is not the TRUE story of Thanksgiving. Maybe you should change the title of your video, but it seems that you added it a year ago, so what's the point? If you're going to give the positive points of this holiday, great. But Americans cannot forget what really happened on this day. So I don't know where you get your facts on Native American history, maybe you should read Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee.
what happened to the native americans is tragic but nothing new in human history. additionally native groups hated each other far more than they ever hated any white man which made them vulnerable to 'divide and conquer'. i'm part native myself but let's be realistic here. the native americans were not saints by any stretch of the imagination. they commited genocide, cruelly dominated other groups and outstripped their land resources quite regularly.
through Abraham that out of him would come great nations. God givith and he takith away. If the Indians followed the true God no way would that land have been taken from them. Hmmm, I'm not an American, but it seems to me that you care far more about the bigotry of the bible than you do about the remarkable document which has kept you free and democratic while other nations decayed into autocracy, stagnation and religious war - The Constitution of the Unites States of America.
The forfathers at first had major trouble with the document and could not agree on a thing (much arguin ensued). I think it was B. Franklin who recognized they should spend time with the LORD b4 proceeding. After days of service and worship to the God of the Bible, they resumed their endeavor with great success and flow. The framers of the constitution had spent a good deal of time, effort and blood escaping form a state tainted by imaginary gods (that's MY state, incidentally).
