Serious question. The person who caught the pass was lined up as the left tackle. Are the TE and wing both lined up in the backfield to the defense's right? I can easily see why it would be a blown coverage if they're not (the tackle would therefore be ineligible due to the formation even though he has an eligible number).

@jab3723 i think your right. i didnt notice that untill you said it. but the guy on the outside is off the line and the next on is in is on the line. so both of them are elligible but the TE coverns the last spot, therefor anyone on the line on that side of the ball in inellible.

Whether Everett caught that pass or not, it shouldn't have counted-- look where he's lined up. There are four guys in the backfield, and two guys lined up outside him. He's not an eligible receiver in that formation. Everett was wide open because no one had any reason to cover him. The drop made up for a terrible missed call by the officials.
