makes me want to cry seeing this. Wallaceburg was once a thriving happy town. no jobs no skills, there is nothing else to do but breed. Sorry to say I live here but am happy to be here
There was never 30,000 people in this town. I lived here all my life. My mother worked at the glass for 30 years since a week after I was born. It might have topped 15,000 people here
at 1:50 IT'S EXACTLY FUCKING RIGHT! IT'S A CYCLE IM ALL TO FAMILAR WITH. and this is the second or third generation to go threw it im glad im gone i know someday i will be back and god i know it will be hell that i return too!
I know all too well about Wallaceburg or as I call it "Forgotton Rock!" and it's unemployment rate! I left ther about 6 months ago and it was the best fucking idea i ever had! This song playing right now ya Winter at 3 Am that is the feel you get in Forgotton Rock. But Wallaceburg creates this Black Whole you always come back, always! Wallaceburg is cursed your soul never leaves even when you die. Theres alot of "dirty history" in Wallaceburg,Dresden & Tupperville. There is alot if evil there.
Might I ask where you got your information? Wallaceburg, like many other manufacturing towns, IS in crisis. I don't negate that. However, there are many great things about it and it will always be a great place to live.
where i got all my info from is in the video information you can also just go to the wallaceburg home page witch is where i got the town pop from asfor the depression, pregnancy, crime, homicides, etc you can go to the canada statistics page and look up wallaceburg for your self i took alot of time lookin up the facts i do appreciate your view in info on this subject this type can allways be a little touchy when it comes to the places ppl live and love this is affecting all of north america
You have some nice shots, however your video is filled with mis-truths:
1. I do not recall our population ever being over 30,000. When I moved here, it was 11,684. My knowledge is that it hovered around there, but never was as high as 30,000.
2. As for WAMBO, from what I understand, it now conflicts with another motoring event, causing our attendance to drop.
3. The statistics mentioned (depression, pregnancy, crime, homicides, etc) are not specific to Wallaceburg, but general averages.
as a W'burg resident I know much of what is said is true of my home town...do not forget this is not an isolated experience. The changes needed are unfortunately beyond the scope of town officials. Look at H&B; are they not American owned? The majority of our business is with USA and they are in financial trouble. I can't see how the mayor of W'burg is going to effect that big of a problem. And how about saving our hospital while preforming miracles.
