Tosh had an army of spectres produced behind your back, and criminal or no, the fact is he's a man who can't be trusted. He eats your allies to feed his psionic power and spectres run off of rage and voodoo. Anythin's better than siding with Tosh, but it's still fun to do his side of the campaign. But if you think spectres are better than ghosts, get real. Snipe is invaluable, and not a huge waste of energy. Ghosts have better dps, even without + to armored, and they have better sight and range.

1) Dr Hanson noted how specters are no more killers than anyone else

2) Checking out the armory units, you may read that your ENTIRE crew is made up of criminals, especially the firebats and vikings.

3) Specters are more useful than ghosts, like if you play on hard-insane, and there is a wall of seige tanks about to blow your army up, mind blasting will give your units more time to attack.

4) Do you really trust a hot bitch assassin working for your enemy over a ally who helped you out?

I find it funny how Tosh was somewhat telling the truth about Nova not joining you. Yeah, yeah, you can see Nova in the Armory, but other than that, you're on your own. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the thought process of a lot of people playing this went like this: 1) Help some hot chick and possible get some action or 2) Help some stereotypical black guy, which obviously *sarcastically* means he is not trustworthy.

I had to check the alternate results before chosing, the one with less people getting killed, so in the end I sided with Tosh, besides, one of the results of this mission was that lots of Mengsk opposers were freed, and by the way, Raynor already has his chick, remember? The ultimate objective of the campaign is to bring her back to the good side, and you wouldnt want her to mind read you and know you were with anohter ghost girl, that would make you suffer TERRIBLE TERRIBLE DAMAGE D:

Also Duran was coincidently the only black person in Starcraft 1, the traitor. Now in Starcraft 2, the only black person is Tosh... it's the game programmers way of alerting us to not trust them.

Even if we don't know that Gabriel Tosh can be trusted, Nova (the invisible mind-sucking vampire) shouldn't pretty much be chosen because 1. She works for the Terran Dominion, ruled by Arcturus Mengsk, 2. She could be a terrible liar than Tosh, 3. She spies around the Hyperion armory without anyone noticing if she was chosen, 4. She would say things that are threatening as a playable unit, 5. She would imprison Raynor and anyone that are against the Dominion and 6. GT "She won't even join you".

A Spectre is a useful unit in fighting hordes of weak units (marines banelings zerglings) and single massive units (thors collosi ultras) due to the psionic lash and mindblast abilities.Nyx cloaking module also helps alot because the energy is always a problem when trying to nuke a base or something like this.Ghosts on the other side are useful at taking out single guards with snipe or EMP the shields and cloak of the enemy units.The only thing that stops u is what u want to do with them.

My trust doesn't come easily which is why I was hesitant to believe Nova since she just showed up, but I was just as hesitant of Tosh when HE first showed up too. It wouldn't take very long of knowing Hitler to find out that he wants to massacre the jews. Once I understand a person (and agree with them) I trust them. I understood and agreed with Tosh, but if I understood Hitler I most certainly wouldn't agree with him.

@psycholian Trust not misplaced, Nova was playing at Jim's moral compass, She's a ghost, whose job is to cause unrest in the enemy numbers (getting you to doubt Tosh and the spectres), Weaken them (by making you waste time, resources and manpower attacking an ALLY) and give you access to a unit type the dominion (your enemy which she works for) already know how to deal with as Spectres are still an enemy that is has not been properly countered) and kill Tosh (one Dominion enemy down)
