Good graphic is not same like good gameplay. Using good/best graphic but lag at war is ridiculous. Just look at old games (CS, red alert, D2, SC, WC3, minecraft, mario, pacman, L4D, even pinball and minesweeper), they dont need a good graphic but has good gameplay (and some of them story).

@hildegain I totally agree with you hildegain where in a-lot of ppl do not understand the difference between actual graphic's and a curtain style of graphic's...for my self I'v always quite liked the bright cartoony style Blizz has incorporated into WoW and, feel if they had completely changed the style after let's say the 1st ( vanilla ) or after BC to a more realistic look/plain colour's, earth tones etc would have ruined the game. Remaking it for the next expac in some way prob be nice tho.
@WakeupFreinds Yeah, World of Warcraft really only lacks in a few certain areas graphically, those being texture resolution, atmospheric effects, lighting and Depth of Field effects but elsewhere it's perfectly good looking.
I like the way that WoW's visual style is different with each expansion and Pandaria promises more vibrant and colourful visuals ;)

Graphics are nice but only when they compliment the game and don't hinder gameplay, thankfully WoW has a nice appearance with its graphics and a nice view distance, when in gameplay it definitely works ^^

Imagine if they tried to replace and update every texture for every area of the game. It would be a massive and pointless project. It could be a bottle neck of a "pretty good" graphics card that isn't DX11 compliant. Or it could be a bottleneck in your cpu. Or it could be you have a bad monitor.
Yes but the good thing with bad graphics is you can run them on a low spec pc and you get to meet lots of good people who don't have massively expensive pcs!

I'm dissing the game because the content is boring, there's barley ever any content update, they are doing the same thing again and again in every expansion (This doesn't mean there's other games that doesn't.....) And than they listen to the retard people who thinks the game is to "hard"

@TheBluesons You might have a valid reason for criticism there, as for the content they're putting out - the content is all about the warcraft series of games and now they go and do something that could be considered 'new' (talking about Pandaria) and there are thousands of people screaming in protest.
Either way they go they will have to make choices based on the wants of their playerbase. I hope I didn't put any of this in a bad way, personally I think there are issues.

@hildegain I can agree on that your points are also fully valid, the only concern I've with it is that (I never played wc3) according to my friends and some twitter sources, the pandaria stuff actually exist in those games, I ain't sure in this and it's kinda stupid of me arguing about that, because I stopped play wow for not long again as I was bored of the game and is now waiting for Gw2, but you didn't do anything stupid or in any bad way your points are fully valid. -Blueson

I had never heard of Pandaria before and as far as I'm aware they're going to try and bring in some new aspects to the story that weren't yet included, though I could be wrong.

@hildegain haha, yep, im the opposite extreme. But to me it seems more of a greedy move to make the game less demanding. I do however approve on some of the newer expansion 3d models, like Garrosh and Varian. ;)

Don't you people realize this game's graphics aren't supposed to be that good because it's for the masses. If WoW updated its graphics to some ridiculous proportions it'd lose thousands if not millions of customers because most people cannot afford gaming PCs.

@X64Marduk Don't be stupid it's not because of that. WOW Is an average mmo. Graphics can't be updated just because Blizzard wants to cater to people with high end systems. Imagine if they tried to replace and update every texture for every area of the game. It would be a massive and pointless project. The graphics are good as they are now ( And keep in mind that I don't even play WOW, I just watched some videos ).

It could be a bottle neck of a "pretty good" graphics card that isn't DX11 compliant. Or it could be a bottleneck in your cpu. Or it could be you have a bad monitor.
