There was a guy at my college that was a sex offender. He'd had sex with his 14 year old cousin. There was a flyer about it in the student lounge so that everyone would know.
We didn't give him any trouble; he agreed to disappear if there were ever a minor present, and that was that. The arrest was 4 years earlier and he hadn't been in trouble since.
I have to say that I think the man is telling the truth. He can't stand pedophilia, he actually seems embarrassed about what happened in his past, and he does acknowledge that his decision wasn't extremely smart.

@emy0ox i do not think i look 'cool' in any way shape or form, i do drink but i never go over board, a lot of my friends have taken it too far and made huge mistakes, some of them which affected me, and that has taught me some life lessons, but also i have a very close group of friends, very close. the people i am with would never take advantage of me and i know that, some people my age get fake id and go out drinking where there are people aged up to their 40s!
but we all drink in safe environments were the alcohol is controlled and i know many people who do the same, we do it because its fun. no other reason. :/

I'm not saying encourage people to drink underage, it should totally be discouraged... but I doubt these kids are really going to listen. The best we can do is to try and help them stay safe. Some people need to be left room to make mistakes so that they can TRULY learn these lessons.

from what i can tell so far is that. scot is a good guy who has done some stupid stuff (having sex with a 14 year old) but we all have done something stupid. (hopefully nothing like that tho lol) i think that unless she was forced to do it with him but she WANTED to then its "OK" but it still wasn't smart and he should have known her for a long time.

I don't beleive, at this point that, that mans a rapist yet. I do know a pedophile and he was a member of my family, i know how they act and he doesn't act like him.
