  • hey any one know how or if i can assign controls with omnisphere... i wanna use my axiom pro to chance filters etc... any chance of doing this... ive tried right click and MIDI CC Learn. is there something else im suppose to do ?>

  • too much arp and trancy sounds... I can find any use for these. and the 30 gb size doesn't do justice. i'd prefer something smaller like FM8 or Sylenth1.

  • @jabbarman04 The Omnisphere library has 55 Gb in size.

  • i freakin hate this synth... can't find it on filesharing -___- hhahaha

  • The sounds on this thing are awesome too bad It's like 500 bucks...

  • 3:26 Reminds me of Mass effect.

  • Duuuude. Pretty sure I caught an EVP on your recording at just about 6:17 till about 6:32. Sounds like the guy's saying: "The reason we're down here is music. Awesome. Awesome music." Am I crazy, or can anyone else hear it, too? Open to any other interpretations of what this clearly audible male voice may be saying. PCE>>>

  • @flowerdove2168 i heard it to it clearly said flowerdove your mum is calling you for sloppy joe time, VOCODER

  • i prefer nexus2

  • @lionpress999 lol have you tried both?

  • where can i download this from

  • i solved it, i just clicked somewhere else

  • i only have 8 categories: drum grooves, live mode demos, split patterns, split sounds, stacked patterns, stacked sounds, velocity crossfades, wheel crossfades. i've seen that you have many more categories than me, and i've installed update 1.1.4

  • dude i want this where can i get it?

  • I don't know what's so great about this, but to me it all sounds so dull, so boring. those dark ambient patches are so uninspiring to me. Someone said to me it is the best synth money can buy. Well for me it's the best synth to leave it what it is. So plastic. Wouldn't spend a dime on it.

Any nice demo. Saved me hundreds on euro's

  • ENOUGH HEARD...IM GETTING IT NEXT WEEK. THIS IS A MUST HAVE..

  • Hey guys I'm selling my Omnisphere for a dam reasonable price!, I have all the cd's and box, booklets, everything brand new! email me here if interested: dexum175@yahoo.com ... serious inquiries please.

  • This is NOT even as good as people make it out to be.. It has more whack sounds than good!!!! #JustSayin

  • This is just another space sound synth or possibly a techno synth...other than that its 30 gigs of useless sounds (the strings and guitars are good tho) I would even go as far to say its borderline possible to create film score if the film is a oddesy type film. but for use in modern songs its no good. I haven't used it once in a song yet

  • Interesting software, good preset. Nice the beginning.

  • where can i download this

  • i like what im hearing...

  • Can you send sounds out to different midi channels, like Xpand and Structure in Protools?

    Cheers

  • Howdy champ. Ive got imac 7 quad core with 8 gig ram. Is this enough cpu for this beast, several instances of it?

  • @mimoocho lol.... this is more than enough.

  • where i can download or buy this Vsti plugin ? Any idea?

  • @Moulaslab

    google > Spectrasonics Omnisphere

  • @Moulaslab ThePirateBay.

  • @PauuLiiTo HAHAHAHA.. I'm downloading it now.. but hugeeee... 5.6 GB each.. 6 DVDs which is like 35 GB in total.. Do I need Soundbanks ?

  • please...how yo keep latency so low and with that wide vst

  • @zoivanmo, hey, just use a good audio soundcard interface, im using an Maudio Delta 1010 soundcard.

  • @musicman2047 I am using M-Audio ProFire 2626...but in other vst like rgcaudio...they are soooo goood but also heavy, I get high latency...but now I found out that to put MIDI in audio for lower latency...and it s work...thanx

  • @musicman2047 is the sound card pac my mac book good enough if my computer only has logic and omnisphere

  • @zoivanmo install "ASIO4ALL" which should eliminate that high latency on low end sound cards

  • @zoivanmo without asio4all fl studio runs kinda slow with big shit.with asio, everything runs super fuckin smooth basically.

  • ITS A GREAT VSTI BUT THIS IS NOT MY TYPE = ONLY FOR HIP HOP

  • this is it i like this programm

  • Cubase ftw

  • doesnt this take up like a fucking ridiculous amount of memory or somethin? its like 6 dvds to install it lol

  • Too many weird, horror film type sounds

  • 7:08 is what i want. good trance stuff...

  • can u tall me how i can set up it i get it but not work ?

  • very good

  • Not a sylenth1, but decent.

  • @bilbring This is better than sylenth1. I use sylenth1 and albeit dank Omnisphere trumps

  • I'm so going to get this beast this summer.

  • Ok guys,,I have a question. How do I load Omni on my Digi002 with Pro Tools 7 ?Thanks

  • This guy promotes to many things. One time its keyboards then next VST are

the future. What ever company that will pay him to talk about their products.

Now its the KRONOS next it will be the G8 Fantom if they come out with that.

  • What's the song playing at 1:16min???

It's a dance song i know it but can't remember which one.

  • @4GIVME, think that track at 1.16 would be mauro picotto - iguana.....

  • @musicman2047 BORN SLIPPY- UNDERWORLD :)

  • @4GIVME I know which one you are thinking! Its got me going insane i have it at the tip of my tongue.

  • @4GIVME :

Sounds like Underworld- "Born Slippy" to me

  • @4GIVME Much of this soft synth reminds me of Cafe Del Mar's Energy 52

  • i see you used here cubase 4, is it better to use cubase 5 or 6 if you have older pc because of latency using multiple vsti's at once, does new cubase versions use much more ram and cpu?

  • @t0nkpi1s He has paid for cubase 4.

It is not so much a matter of cubase 5 and 6 being better or worse, it is more: Why spend $500 for slight upgrades.

And more importantly "why fix it if it isn't broken" If he can do everything he is trying to do in cubase 4 there is no reason for him to upgrade or waste the time messing with it.

  • @t0nkpi1s As for my two cents. Reaper is a Beast.

    That is all.

  • @Eritsasaku agreed

  • perfect

    i know Spectrasonics Omnisphere ....

    congrats........

  • Damn, that synth at 1:19 is so SICK !!!

    What's his name please ??

    Thanks !!

  • I see you are using this in Cubase. How is Omnisphere on CPU load. Is it gentle or a CPU hog. All of these soft synths are putting quite a load on my computer because they are sample based. I am also running out of HD space because of the size of there sample library.

  • @mattsynth, im using an intel 2600 cpu and omnisphere very rarely peakes over 15% (one 1 core mind you) when using a complicated patch, so really depends on the power of your PC. Hard drive space isnt much of an issue now days, buy a 120gb hard drive solely for omni if you must, will not break the bank either. Truely is a great beast, if your serious about your music, upgrade a touch, you wont regret it! ;)

  • Upgrade for $500.00 and I need a bigger hard drive and a faster computer and a controller. Way too much money for a software instrument. I do not see the value for that price. I will stick to hardware synths. Thanks for the reply I was really debating on this purchase.

  • Spectrasonics Omnisphere or Access Virus C ??

  • @RaggaDnB, they are a dfferent kettle of fish, omnisphere is far more versatile, and to me sounds very analogue like. I own the Virus C too and i love it, but in this day and age of music, id say go with ominsphere for an all rounder killer instrument, its quick access plus you dont have to bounce every midi part to audio like if you were to have a virus c synth (or any other hardware synth for that matter).

  • @musicman2047 Agreed, guess I'll buy the omnisphere, I've been in various forums asking the same question, and 90% of the answers said omnisphere. I even asked Marcus Schossow, from what he told me, he said go with the soft synth. Thanks for your reply, I believe I've made my decision after weeks of hardcore questioning. :)

  • @musicman2047 but hardware synths usually sound better in terms of cleaner, rounder sounds. Most softsynths I hear demos on youtube, or have played with,, are generally grittier.

  • @RandomMessiah, ofcourse but they come with the price tag to boot, in terms of overal bang for buck omnisphere hits the spot. I still have some nice VA synths, like the waldorf q which always sounds golden to me, but i find it way more convinient to use more VSTi's now days, they have come so far! can only get better, cant wait for the future of VSt's.

  • @RandomMessiah, you should check out Synapse Dune, new vst that came out rcently, sounds absolutely awesome, Xils Polykb 2 sounds pretty sweet too. In reality though, any tracks you hear now days, you wouldnt be able to identify each instrument that was used in a track, listeners dont usualy care so i dont see the need to spend heaps of money on a hardware synth.

  • @RaggaDnB chalk and cheese mate. I have an access virus TI, And I still need to use omnisphere as u simply cant make ANY sound with just a virus. U can get close maybe but even with synth knowhow it cant be done. . That said. ALL I use nowaways is a virus, Omnisphere and moog. that combined with native plu-ins is all I need. i f u cant make smthn out of that then somethings wrong lol

  • @australiandj, ha ;) well said, its amazing how many artists use just a computer, midi keyboard and nothing else. Mylo became succesful with propellerhead's Reason alone...Its weird though, as with every interview i see (future music magazine) its seems the guys who grew up with the analogue side, are now converting 100% to the digital realm, and anyone newly introduced to music in the digital era, start buying hardware synths...a nice balance though, like the setup you have is cool!

  • Omnisphere has great sounds, but you can about do the same stuff by using Toxic Biohazard. You just need to know how to use a synth.

  • @kenswagg1 Yeah, you're gonna have to pay for this one.

  • where do you download this at i cannot find it anywhere

  • @kenswagg1 You don't, you BUY it. Novel concept, I know.

  • sounds a bit thin and cold

  • @CoolColJ Dude this is one of the fattest and warmest synths going.

  • @ProjectLonely

Well I have an Andromeda, Jupiter 8, Minimoog, SH2, Mks80 and other stuff sitting here, so I guess warmth and fatness is all relative :)

  • @CoolColJ24 Yeah nice synths you got there mate. You would like Omni then.

  • I use sounds for inspiration sometimes, and going through synths like that is really nice

  • What pc specs do you need in order to run it smoothly with cubase 4? i got lot of latency in nuendo and audition 3, with 2.4 ghz processor, 1 gb ram and m-audio audiophile. Even it says 2.5ms latency but it is around 15-20ms i think because it sounds so sloppy

  • no a single sound i DON'T like amaaaazing

  • check out this progressive house song i made 100% with omnisphere

  • Its a very good synth to have pared with trilian and U-HE Zebra

I never said people cant program Synths Im just anoyed at people that say you cant use presets you have to make your own.

  • @NielsShoe, exactly, its all about the music right? doesnt matter if you use presets, as long as you have a good musical ear to make great hooks, people will listen to your music. On that note im going to install the 1.5 update!

  • @musicman2047 how much for the upgrade? has the 1.5v been released as one or only an upgrade?

  • @musicman2047 understanding how synths work means better sound, even just tweaking presets til you learn enough to start building your own patches.. any sound creation process - guitar, sampling, singing, whatever, theres a technical aspect to that once you start messing with it becomes part of your creative process, and lends itself to your synergy with the instrument. too often people go for 'that' synth sound, guitar tone etc.. its not a tshirt. best to learn to make the sounds in your head!

  • Its a nice synth! I have it, BUT! I have to say it feels a bit like a massive preset bank! Perfect for making a track from scratch if your always touring or out and about. What you do with the presets is really what counts and as always the ends justify the means.

  • last sound is ssooo sweet..

  • Patch 1.5 comes out 15th Feb after the install it will have 8000 patches and theirs a load of fancy new menus for doing changes to the sounds plus five colum browser.

  • Any suggest VST for making deep house, downtempo with Jazz elements

    for example rhodes,vibrato...

  • What an amazing synth. I don't have it, and I don't really want it, since all I'd be doing is browsing all the patches, and not getting any music created as a result.

I'd like to create my own sounds, but I'm not sure if the current synth I'm using, Dimension pro is even capable.

  • dreasbeats co signs this !

  • Watch this. Cube Destination

  • All I took from this was "god how can anyone still use cubase?? AND WHY WOULD YOU?"

    Oh and Omnisphere is god.

  • Hey, have you guys seen the Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? Its perfect for running all your favorite Windows compatible software and plug-ins! Click the link below for videos!

  • Can you record directly from the Power Synth button?

  • To use this, would one just plug a MIDI keyboard into a computer and play it?

  • @ryguy09264 yep

  • Hi ! I've followed instructions and installed all the 6 cds but I dont have nothing but a (42G) STEAM folder, a steinbeirg folder and some plugins.. but no synth to play music. Do I need a program like Reason or Ableton or FL studio or some to be able to use the synth or ?? I dont understand im lost and frustrated...can you help me ?? thanks !

  • @MoN514ReaL you need a host software like ableton, cubase, FL studio, logic etc.. to open the vst instrument in, in this case omnisphere

  • what do you mean by arps?

  • @RagingBoileR

Hello... Arps are short for Arpeggios. The notes in a chord played separately.

  • Nice video :) Love the string at 4 min 35 sec :)

  • No zax but its got really high sampled guitars, light bulbs, bicycle wheels.

  • Comment removed

  • wish i had the free space to use this

  • Does this have real Instruments as well? I'm looking for some nice sax tones.

  • @Dhruv1223

Yeah, it slides out the cd-rom. Press Alt+idiot.

  • but there is no comparison!

  • I see what people are saying here about using presets and I'm in both minds with it. Where there's a real sense of achievement in creating a sound from scratch nothing beats browsing the existing presets and tweaking them. It saves a lot of time this way and you end up with a good sound.

When it comes to Camel Space for example, I always start from scratch and sometimes even use the random feature on it.

    Music isn't a competition.

  • hey good video!! do u know how do i crack it ! i got some file that have alot of files but i dont know wich one

  • I run Omnisphere, Trilian, and Stylus RMX all at once with a 2ghz CPU.

  • @WizardsMagic007 And your CPU doesn't get overloaded?

  • @Brinemusic

    Nope just my memory.

  • WOOOO IT'S FUCKIN' AMAZING!!

  • Sooo, this is a PRESET synth or what?

  • @iSpeakDimensional not at all...in fact it's one of the most powerful programmable synths on the market. It's just that only presets are demonstrated in this home video.

  • Man, i thought z3ta and atmosphere were good. This sounds amazing.

  • 0:57 is used in "Defying Gravity", very cool patch.

  • sick sick! :)

  • what patch is that at 4:29

  • guy check my Push Universal Nation on fl studio

  • Can this be used in FL 9?

  • Ignore the troll he proberbly thinks Iron Maiden cheat because they use guitars made by other people. he 's one of those that likes to look for people having fun then dives in and says no no stop that I'm not having it because everything should be his way only.

  • Some people would rather spend time making music than making patches. Omnisphere is great for both types lots of ready made good to go patches for all types of music and it has the tools to create new patches.

  • @omghai2u Right dude :D! but don't say who is better or who deserve.

And about the video, is time to make tutorials like "how to be a Producer", no " who wants to play a while",.. this doesn't help so much, is the same that the most famous vsti. all the same, is why music is getting monotone.

  • I got this. To be honest very disappointed. Bunch of noises...

    Sound bank is just horrible.

  • @fuad61 Spend some more time with it and go a little deeper. The current version of Omnisphere includes over 10,000 sounds. It's used on many top productions by lots of pro users. Check out the video tutorials to find out more how to get the most out it.

  • I used to Play Trance all the time along with house music but that style has finally bored me ; 17 years and I can take it anymore yet I have some respect for it but Dance all sounds the same to me now . And im not argument IM just talking about my thoughts music to me is simplistic and its for the enjoyment .

  • @simplistiCI The good news is that Omnisphere is very versatile and is used in all kinds of music production, not only Dance Music.

  • @SpectrasonicsVIDEO Whats your take on people using Presets ? Iv seen more people say "the end results matter" then Iv seen some say "You can use presets" then I see some that say "You can't use Midi" and so on .

  • @simplistiCI It's really up to how the artist uses the instruments. We do always encourage our users to at least modify the sounds. Customization or creating your own sounds is the best way to ensure that you have your own unique voice. However, some people are brilliant at using presets in subtle ways too. It's all about what you create at the end of the day. :-)

  • @SpectrasonicsVIDEO there are so many presets that anything I am hearing in my head I invariably will find with enougnh patch browsing, so if you are a writer , artist , producer , arranger , etc. why go thru the time and effort of reinventing the wheel..,. espeicially if its a steep learning curve to learn how to properly program a specific synth. I would rather spend the time finding the patch that works. More often than not I will find a patch that works, and tweak it to my needs.

  • @emilshere and not just works but takes shyt to a mad new level cause those 'patches' are baaaaaadass. your comment is bang on though.

  • @emilshere -]. But some of the pads Omnisphere has, you couldn't program them on a normal synthersizer .[-

  • @emilshere lazy

  • @emilshere lazy ;D

you'll find in the long run, when you get good enough at programming synths, that you dont have to fit the sound to the space, but you can taylor the sound to fit the space.

this saves so many hours in mixing.

  • @emilshere lazy ;D

you'll find in the long run, when you get good enough at programming synths, that you dont have to fit the sound to the space, but you can taylor the sound to fit the space. if that makes sense.

it allows for a much smooth workflow because everything has it's place and you aren't a kid in a toy store trying to decidei f you want the huge saw bass's mids to shine through more than the pad, because you'll make what is right.

you make the jigsaw pieces. time saver, eventually

  • @emilshere lazy ;D

YOU are jigsaw maker. all =. time saver, eventually

  • @emilshere its very gratifying to create your own sounds that you know no one else has !

  • @emilshere because you're one step away from cutting up bits of newspaper and sticking it to a piece of MDF.

    that's why.

and it's fuckin lazy, have some respect for the music you make... and if you took the time to learn how to program one synth, you'd realise they're alllllllllll the same (99% of the time)

    ;}

  • @emilshere There's a whole load of snobery attached to synth programming. The way I see it is that programmers WANT to spend their time designing sounds. I like to spend most of MY time making melodies and harmonies. Added to this, there are many programmers who are FAR better at sound design than I am - so I let them do it for me. If I can't find the sound I want THEN I'll make my own.

  • @schragemusik totally agree mate

  • When I write music I never use Arps as I feel its Cheap and not natural in my music so I play everything on the Piano . But the only thing I do is find the right sound for my ears then layer the sounds an compose something inserting that many can relate to

  • I said this before along with many others . Its the end results that matter to the listener and for the creator of the track to be satisfied . I usually play the acoustic piano by itself to create a Set then being my Idea to the computer -what Sounds I use should not matter

  • @omghai2u That doesn't make any sense at all ... I should tell you to stop using any type of technology because its cheating . Many musicians find Digital music to be Cheating . Do you use auto quantizing or Piano roll to correct notes/ make notes ? If you can't make music with your hands on an instrument ? Then your cheating -

  • @simplistiCI no using other peoples presets is "cheating" dont try and distort what i said to conform to your argument. i use piano roll, often times to compose whole things, but im writing the synth patches my self not downloading them or using the ones packaged with the program, theres nothing from the composer then aside from a couple midi strokes. using an instrument is a physical thing, its not as easy as piano rolling a shitty house song, synthesizers can make a song for you and fuck that

  • @omghai2u I can find all your sounds you call " original " in the other millions on presets on the market . Can you call your sounds original with a straight face

  • @simplistiCI lol thats cute. good luck finding them

  • @simplistiCI even if you could, at least i took the time to learn how to fuckin do it eh? you can stick to your ignorance but dont think youre better than me cause of it

  • @omghai2u So 20 years of piano Theory , Composing and playing the drums all in the name of loving music ( I have no ignorance ) I can tweak out sounds , yet if I hear a Good sound im going to use it . You have a very odd way of looking at music - Music brings healing to the Creator and if one day a creator makes its = then Good for them but music is not a sport are who right or wrong music is beauty 24/7 expression of oneself and expressions more then Making your own sounds

  • Hey all! I don't have a superfast pc and I don't have enough free disk space too, but does anyone know if there's a VST-I somewhere that I can use that is a bit like omnisphere?

    Thanks!

  • Hi all,

Does anyone know if there's a program I can use wich is a bit like Omnisphere, buy works with lower computerspeed, because I don't hav a superfast pc. And I only have 40 GB space. Please react!

    Wilmer

  • can you edit the patches? I see that you can add fx to a patch, but what about editing the core sound?

  • @dogman4227

    No it's a ROMPLER!!!! a good VSTi Rompler.....nothing else!

  • @SuperEmu4 Sorry that's simply incorrect. It can create quite complex sounds without using any samples at all. Omnisphere is one of the most powerful synths on the market.

  • @dogman4227 Absolutely. Everything can be edited. It is highly programmable.

  • Daleko najbolji VST!!

  • nice :)please chceck my secend demo /watch?v=h3A8FYBFNoo

  • YOU KNOW IT FINALLY JUST OCCURED TO ME!...

THIS IS NOTHING MORE THEN A MAPPED SAMPLE LIBRARY!, with SOME FARCE OF A SYNTH FACADE........ If you truely look at it , you have almost NO real ability to shape the sounds in any indepth way!

  • @Bluesage2009

it's not a real synth at all!

For about $400 you can find a fantastic K2000 ... but there is no comparison!

And only those who love the synths really can understand me

  • @SuperEmu4 Omnisphere is actually substantially more powerful as a pure synthesizer than a K-2000. There are many things it can do that a Kurzweil K-2000 cannot do...for example, Granular Synthesis, Full Analog Modeling, Harmonia, FM and Polyphonic Ring Modulation, more powerful Dual Filters, far more powerful envelopes, etc. You don't have to use the presets at all of course.

  • @SpectrasonicsVIDEO Sorry, but I think you underestimate the possabillities of VAST-synthesis inside a Kurzweil K-2XXX synth. It IS possible to use for example FM, Additive synthesis and If you are creative and aware of the possabilities of VAST you can create many other synthese-forms and use them. But you first have to know the synth and its "syntax", but thats also concerning Omnisphere!!

  • @SuperEmu4 Absolutely it's a real synth. :-)

In fact, Omnisphere is far more powerful of a synth than any current hardware synth. One instance of Omnisphere can have up to 80 polyphonic oscillators, FM, Waveshaping, Polyphonic Ring Modulation, Granular synthesis, 16 simultaneous filters, Timbre Shifting, Timbre Crushing, Groove Envelopes, 48 LFOs, 64 multistage envelopes with over 1,000 points each...and you can do ALL of that without using any samples!

  • @SuperEmu4 Actually, the K-2000 is pretty limited in comparison to Omnisphere. Just a few of the synthesis advantages the Omnisphere has include real DSP oscillators, quad filters, granular synthesis, FM, 10 oscillators, better modulation capabilities and much more. If you really like the K-2000 for synthesis, then you'd love Omnisphere...it's quite a bit more capable and has higher 24-bit sound quality too.

  • @SuperEmu4 but nowadays people are chosing to buy Midi Controllers that are not so big as real synths.. and use any effects out there in fruity loops/etc.. :)

  • @Luckzzz

Absolutely right. but it is so sad. All the VSTi sound the same. If I hear an E-mu Morpheus, for example, I say: It's an E-mu Morpheus !!

If I hear Omnisphere I say: It is a good VSTi!

Anyway, I have some Spectrasonics libraries of guitars, bass, and vocals on my Emulator IV platinum. The sounds are exactly the same. But I had those sounds 10 years ago:)

  • @SuperEmu4 Show me a K2000 demo that comes anywhere near this and I will buy one.
