  • just favorited this old vid couse its hella badass!

  • @YorkMNBarbell88 Thanks bro!

  • yahhh! mothafukka! i love it! awsomme Marky Mark! sounds like me lol! baddasss! awsome awsome fukin pressing!

  • @YorkMNBarbell88 Thanks buddy! Yeah i was pretty psyched to get that lol

  • strong shoulders

  • @choadkin Thanks!

  • Nice job big man!

  • @justbig Thank you!

  • i knew you had the flexibility to do full room you pussy =p

    no excuses =p

was this the first time you did 300

whats goal for next week? 5?

  • @rctriplefresh5 That was 3 years ago,i don't have that same flexibility anymore.I wish i did because it was way easier to rest the weight on my front deltoids. The way i have to do it now(hover the bar over my shoulders) takes far more strength.I have to support the weight with my lats and my arms....far more difficult.Try it sometime with a heavy weight,a weight that is around your max and hover it about 4-5 inches over your shoulders....i guarantee you will find it to be far heavier.

    cont...

  • @HHH396 i have the same problem, ive found widening my grip a little and actually having the bar a resting on your fingers with your hand not closed round the bar then when pushing the bar falls into the palm of your hand. its hard to explain lol.

  • @rctriplefresh5 Next week i will try for either 300 x 2-3 or 305 x 2...either would be a PR.

  • @HHH396 i favorited this vid ...this was your first 300 right? you look light here too aroun 210 id say.

i know you also did 300x3 but those were 3/4 reps so 300x3 full reps would be great manbut i think 305x2 would be best for you, it;s harder than 300x2 but easier than 300x3...and you get to use over 300!

btw how much did bobby try deadlifting? and how does he spot you ha

  • @rctriplefresh5 Yeah that was the 1st time i did 300 lbs.I'm not exactly sure about my weight but i would say i weighed around 215 or so.295 x 2 is my best so anything above that would be great.

Bobby never ever deadlifts so anything is heavy. He was doing 275 but didn't hurt it immediately. He didn't notice it until the next day.As far as bench i don't really need a spot but i get a spot all the time from him becaus he's there...and his back is better already.

  • Rugged DB presses. Wicked strong core

  • @flibberdajibbit Thank you very much!

  • this isnt dumbell press retard

  • @hellasking69 Yeah what is it then...smart ass!

  • excellent man - very impressive

  • Thank you! I just posted 315 lbs overhead recently...it's on my page.

  • I have to get back to doing these again.I lost a little strength on them. After I hit 415-420 lbs on the bench,I'll start concentrating more on these.

  • awesome dude

  • Thanks bro,I appreciate it!

  • wow impressing youre good at the only thing i aint lol (push press) my enemy >:( how do you pick that up is it tech or just pumping the iron everyday?

  • The lift takes a combo of strong legs and good pressing strength but you have to have that natural speed.

    Thanks for the comment

  • Thanks buddy! you're right I need to get back to these.I'm going to give bench press 2 or 3 more weeks then I will switch back to push press for a few weeks.I get burned out if I do both.

  • Good lifts HHH396.

You hit the 300 mark! respect.

  • Thanks bro! Yeah that was a milestone. Now I'm trying for 315 lbs.

  • VERY INPRESSIVE! PRUSSA

  • Thanks a lot!I appreciate the comment!

  • nice! saw your age in profile 38, good shape! good luck in getting to 315! ) +5!

  • Nice press here! I have never tried these...I am going to have to start. Great power...

  • Thanks man! These can also help your bench but if you do them too often they can also take away. They take a lot of recovery.I only do them for a few weeks at a time and then I take time off for a while.

  • Very strong indeed, but you need to work on your diet.

  • thanks haha that's the hard part!

  • I always tell my gym rat friends, why go the gym when you can save hundreds of dollars by working out at home.

  • I hear that.I have all the equipment, there's no need to wait on equipment @ the gym.

  • I prefer "normal" workout...

  • strong bro!!

  • Thanks big guy!

  • that's freakin insane. enough said..

  • Thanks man....if I have my way,I'm gonna get even more insane comming up!...stay tuned.

  • So much for being too old and worn. You shoulders are terrific. What do think you'll be push pressing by the end of the year?

I looked on creatine1's blog. He's still being slandered by anonymous critics.

  • Thanks I'm hoping for 315 lbs.I've been stuck for awhile @ 300 lbs.

Yeah Dan can't win....He should just come back and set his account for friends only.

  • wish i could do that

  • Train like hell....and maybe you can.

  • You about pushed the weight into the roof

  • I have just enough room to press it...when I'm at full extension,I'm about a 1/4 inch from the ceiling.

  • ya got me there bro!!! Great show of strength!!!!

  • Thanks man....good to hear from u!

  • Nice dedication set to Kaz! STRONG!!!

  • Thanks Scott,Yeah me and Kaz where going back and fourth with friendly competition and then Kaz just went nuts on me and got way to strong lol!

  • Good stuff!!!

  • hey when you push press do you use your legs? i was always taught to explode through and when i am finished the rep to have one leg back from the exploding. know what i mean like its almost like a jump. is that how you normally do it or did your not jump like that because of the high weight. i mean damn dude i push pressed 225 back in highschool but thats when i actully did it. i dont think th 390 viewers of this vid know how hard it can be sometimes

  • I pretty much just do push presses.I just drop down and use a slight but very fast leg drive and explode it up.I don't do split jerks or power jerks;those take alot of practice and can be dangerous.

  • interesting

  • I mean in general the push press exercise, doesn't help develop good carryover to bench press? You look like you got some great shoulder / tri / chest strength!

  • It does help with giving your triceps and shoulders a overload of weight.that they normally wouldn't feel. Also it trains your muscles to be explosive..thanks for the comment.

  • Did this help your shoulder and bench strength alot?

  • It probably didn't help much;because i don't train the lift very often. But I do think this could be a good tool for teaching your muscles to be explosive.

  • Next step 315, go for it buddy, you are at 30lbs to my best lift but that was 10 years ago.

  • Thanks man,I appreciate that. And yes that is my next goal...hpefully soon!

  • holy shit man, freakin awesome, watch out kaz

  • Thanks greg..yeah i'm hunting for kaz!Kaz is the man though @ 319 lbs.I may need a few months!

  • Nice job on the 300 push press. WOW!!! That is one of my next goals.

  • Thanks alot,You'll get it easy...your stronger than i am!

  • been doing the seated dumbell presses the last 2 or 3 weeks w/ a regular bench and its hard locking out the elbows w/out a back to push against.i think i might have to buy a seated dumbell press military bench w/ the small back.that'll help give me back support.these are great exercises to strengthen the shoulders, and strong shoulders will have some carryover on the bottom part of the bench press i need help w

  • I am one of the few people that does these without a back support.I like doing them that way because it works my core. And you are right they will help with the bench press.they are def one of my favorite shoulder exercises.

  • first time i ever maxed on the barbell push press and got 210.gave 220 a ride and failed and double clutched before i racked it and it got squirrlier yet w/ me almost losin it.then went to rack it and then one side i missed the rack and almosted dumped it again.for now on im using collars also to keep the weight from shifting.

  • Yeah be very careful with this exercise,it's very dangerous. You can fall over back, you can lose your balance or at worst you could drop the bar on your head.I think they should only be done in a rack of some sort.

  • great lifts, your in a strength groove and keep it going

i agree working out in my home gym is the greatest and i crank the ROCKIN ROLL

  • Thanks alot, yeah my workouts have def been on a roll!

  • wow nice i wish i had a home gym.

  • Thanks Tayfun, yeah I love working out @ home,it's the only way to go for me.

  • Another ascension!! Another milestone! Pretty soon you'll be push-pressing 100 lbs over bdywt! Congratulations!

  • thanks,yeah i felt like i had another 10 pounds in me.

  • Is your hand placement the same here as on the bench press.

  • Yes very similar.

  • But my shoulders are still weak. I am working on it. ;)

How much do u weigh HHH396?

  • I weigh about 215-216 lbs

  • Strong!!

  • Thanks man, coming from a man of your strength that means alot!

  • Thanks Alex, but you are the KING! I'm just trying to get close to the king lol!

  • Mark, Buddy, all i can say is wow and wow you made 290 and 300 look like nothing, congrats thats huge, your strength is getting up huge, once again amazing , amazing a huge 5 star for this

  • Thanks Dario, yeah i'm feeling pretty good lately.Although next to your incredible strength It's nothing. Thanks for your support!

  • That's crazy strong, bro! I knew you'd hit 300 soon enough... and made it look easy! Keep the vids comin

  • Thank you very much,I had to take some time away from them because of a stained wrist. This is the first push press I've done since I did 275 x 2.
