@fakill911 then I'll tell you now (no critisism intended, seriously) there are two ways of dodging, you can either press the R button just before the enemy attacks, or with your weapon out, press the A button before the enemy attacks, I hope this helps you out :)

Why is it all the resident evil characters move so slow. Need to stay put to shoot the enemies. Need to stay put to give order to teammate. RE5 is like when you try to combine 3rd person shooter with 1st person shooter but add a feature where you can't move while shooting the enemies and you can only dodge when the game tells you to dodge during the QTE moment. I don't know why but at least the game is fun and worth to play.
