The thing is, if you were his age, you would understand, it didn't matter what language you were learning. YOu repeated nonsense phrases that you will NEVER use. I learned German because I was in Dutch country (sound familiar) and we repeated and learned some stupid stuff that we would never use either. My granddaughter loved this story when she was 1 or 2.
