  • Can you help me? I the problem was 13 x 4 1/8, i did the math and ended up with 8 29/5??!!!! I'm really bad at math so if you could help that would be great! :)

  • @oOxXWarriorcatsXxOo You have to change the mixed number--4 and 1/8 into an improper fraction, then multiply: 13/1 x 33/8 = 429/8 = 53 and 5/8

Please subscribe if you have not already--thnx :)

  • omg thank you sooo much!!

  • Thank you so much you were a big help

  • thanks u helped alot

  • Ham your good you helped me a lot!!! and i hate simplefly

  • We were doing math and this simplified EVERYthing! THANK YOU!!!!

  • Thanks =] It Helps Alot for my Assignment. =]

  • why did you change 4 into 2 and 2 into 1?

  • @Fet3434 it's called cross-canceling, but this can be confusing. Just multiply across (after changing the mixed number to an improper fraction and the whole number to fraction form) and then simplify at the end.

  • Thanks for uploading

  • thanks this helped a lot ^-^

    also, can you help me?

    okay, so... the problem is:

    6 1/2 + 3 + 1/2 + 2.

the directions say to evaluate and to name the properties used in each step.

how can i distinguish which properties were used? i don't understand them DX

  • @HoneyChan101 Properties refer to like the Identity Property of Addition and other properties, etc. I do not have time to get into all of them here. For this problem, I would first change the 6 1/2 into an improper fraction (13/2) and then add this to 3. When you get this answer, then add it to 1/2 and just do the problem this way. Remember that you cannot add whole numbers AND fractions. So your revised problem will be:

    13/2 + 3/1 + 1/2 + 2/1 -- make sure you check to simplify at the end...

  • @northstar heyy here is an example of a decimaled number 4.6/3 how do you put it in a percent?

  • @gurla1 okay. First of all, this is an improper fraction, since the numerator -- 4.6 -- is bigger than the denominator -- 3. So your percent will be greater than 100.

So you would work this out like you would any improper fraction. It's often easier to change the fraction to a decimal first, then to a percent. To change to a decimal, you must divide 3 into 4.6 -- this gives you 1.5333...

Then, you just move the decimal 2 places to the right to get a percent of 153.33%

  • it helped a lot, thanks.

  • it help a lot to me

  • @RobotProductions09:

I bet he scores more p*ssy than you, I'll give you that.

  • thanks ive got the scottish nationals on wednesday and this was a big help :)

  • why dont I need to add the 1 at the end ?

  • Why would you add it? Anytime you have a fraction with a denominator of one, the value is based on the numerator. So 14/1 is simply 14.

  • i was doing math and this vid is a life saver!!

  • thanks alot thats really a big help!!!

  • thank god we have smarties on this planet i heated this activity

  • THANK YOU! I couldn't have finished my homework without you~

  • Thanks your a big help! :))
