Turning off ASC is not going to help you launch unless your making enough power to break all four wheels loose,and there is no launch control on RA's.
Short answer: yes it will help you to launch better. On the Evo MR(with Id say 95% the same tranny minus some changes in software and different 5th and 6th gears) to get to the "hidden" launch control u must put in super sport mode and turn off ASC(traction control). So on the RA just put it on Sport mode and turn off ASC to launch, u will have to play with it to find your cars right sweet spot to launch it.
Yep the RA with an AMS reflash should've owned the 350... assuming the 350 was stock; a stock RA beats a 350 off the line by about a car while not on a roll; an RA with ams flash on a Roll though, its a different beast.
something's not right in this video; that 350z is either NOT stock or the RA was prolly manual shifting which wont work the same as trowing in it in Auto, slapping the TC-SST into Sport mode and turning OFF the ASC;

He has an AMS battery, AMS intake, AMS re-flash ECU, and a boost pill; no the car was NOT in limp mode. SRT's hate 350z's, and I like the new 350's. the HR motor is way stronger and better & performs better than the vq35de motor in the 03-06 years. the 350z has completely destroyed a new EVO X MR, the EVO driver will agree. and i can post a video.
all the cars have full potential and all have a weakness, SRT is FWD, the Z heavy as fuck, even if the RA is "auto" which it isnt, last time I checked traditional autos dont have clutches. This car was obviously not running right simple as that, a simple reflash alone will put the hp and tq over a stock Evo X GSR(the old fashioned 5 speed model)

No dude, there really is something wrong with this video, the Ralliart and 350Z stock are fairly close, the Ralliart from a dig will beat the 350Z, but at around the 100MPH mark the 350Z should start to pull away, that RA either had no mods, the driver sucks, or the 350Z had mods, a 09 RA with a Boost Pill and ECU Flash puts up Evo numbers and runs 0-60 in under 5 seconds...
@Nagidar23 There is nothing wrong with this video. What you can't see in this vid that you can in the other one, is the hood bulged on the 350z. The bulgeding hood is significant with the HR 350z, not the stock DE 350z. HR 350z is 07+ 350z which is a full second faster than the DE 350z (2003-2005). 07+ Z is good for low 13's in the 1/4 mile bone stock. No Stock Ralliart runs low 13's.
