The company that is making this car isn't even considering that a normal person can buy a .50 caliber sniper rifle for around $10K. A .50 cal rifle with armor piercing ammunition could penetrate the glass or the armor of this car, kill the target inside and exit on the other side of this car. Total BS test. When you own a car like this and ride around in it on a daily basis, the people that want to take you out will be prepared for you with their .50 cal rifles.

I work for R-R Aerospace so I shouldn't care, but it's nice to see that something that carries the same name as an engine that helps protect British, US, Europe and other foreign skies translates to a super strong car. Damn that thing looked driveable after all that abuse.

i say the phantom i pretty togh.and when they shoot at it with the automatic rifle it looked very solid.i know the car is actually pretty heavy but it didn't move a bit when the granades exploaded. i need a bulletproof car i would chose this one,it's expensive but i think it's worth it!

Well, it costs a lot but I'm sure you could divide it's price by two or something like that, it must be just a body without those expensive fittings inside. You can subtract the big retail margin as well. Yes, the unit cost of production is huge but I don't think they wasted more than a couple hundred of dollars.

@ILLVILLE they have to test it. they test every single car ever made. they did the same thing, (maybe not shooting it though) with the bugatti veyron, lamborghinis, ferraris. they all go through crash tests

@ILLVILLE A customer of an armorde car wants garanteed savety therefore a new car model has to be tested. The car gets shot on its weakes areas like the gaps between the door and the frame.
