  • Thank you for tabs. Beautiful playing.

  • Beautiful playing, I love it! Well done!! How could anyone dislike this? Shame on them..

  • rollin stones did a cover of this

  • this is a song where if played correctly, you will lose yourself and find yourself again when you're finished

  • this is incredible

  • It should be British, not English

    English is a language

Great playing though mate, love to see you do more

  • No English are a race of people and England is our country. Britain=England, Scotland and Wales. UK=Britain and Northern Ireland.

  • @grobo11 english is a nationality. mexican, russian, american etc. are nationalities. we can all say we are caucasian, hispanic asian or indian. these names are the separators of mankind. the reality of it all is there is only one race. the "human" race....

  • @jerry122063 No, English is an ethnicity, like Scottish, Welsh, Irish or French etc. Being BRITISH, or a UK citizen is a nationality. You can be Pakistani by ethnicity yet still be British, but you can't technically be Pakistani by blood and say you're English. You could if you wanted to but it wouldn't be correct.

  • @grobo11 hmmm??? you said earlier that english is a race. then you say its an ethnicity. which is it??? can you define what you mean by race and ethnicity?

  • @jerry122063 I said tha eight months ago, in that time I realised that it's the HUMAN RACE!!! And that there are no other sub species of human but ethnicities within that race.

The English are an ethnic group.

Eight months is hardly 'earlier' is it?

  • @grobo11 O.K. Well maybe i should have said "before" instead. i agree with you on the rest of what you said. anyway, it is a great song, isn't it.

  • yea, england is a seperate country....britain is the island

  • THANKS YOU SO MUCH! And awesome playing as well! And muscles of course.

  • beautiful man...

  • Dude you rock! =)

  • Thank you SO much for providing the tabs for this!!!

  • That was incredible! Nice biceps too! :)

  • Hey!!! It's exactly the same song as the french one "La compagnie du chien rugissant" XD.

Certainly Pen of Chaos (creator of "Le Donjon de Naheulbeuk") took it for his song.

    Well magnificent song. Thank you.

  • nicely done, could you link the tabs you're using?

  • I did link them, click on more info in the description box

  • yes please???

    You play wonderfully.

  • Beautiful!!!!! For another gr8 instrumental version check out hte SWIC Guitar Ensemble!!

  • Beautiful - Do you have the tabs as a guitar pro document?

  • beautifull! who did this?

    amazing

  • wow mate, im a sculptor from scarborough, i work on the local beaches carving the stone thats lyin around, when ive finished i often chill playing scarborough fair but im usually a bit pissed by the end of the day and so it kinda gets a bit technical, but your interpriation is so pure and natural it just seems to flow, thanks for the tabs mate.

  • it sounds superb...i wonder if you've ever played in on the lute...?

  • great post! and thanks for the tab links

  • spectacular job

  • This is not a Simon & Garfunkel music?

  • The original is medieval.

  • It was first notated in the form everybody knows by Cecil Sharp a bit after 1900. There is no trace of any mediaeval version of it, though this sort of song goes back to the 18th century.

It shouldn't be peaceful at all, the words are angry and bitter - "I'll get back together with her when hell freezes over".

  • I like it very much! 5 stars!

  • i learned this song in my music class a week ago i know the words :)

  • what a beautiful tune! well played

  • Bravo! Emotionant!

  • très belles harmonies super

  • so enchanting

  • it really touches my heart dude

    congratulations

  • I really like this, good tempo and good version of the song. I don't know if you added a few bits in but I noticed some parts that I haven't heard elsewhere, sound pretty good.

One question, why do people play this song with a capo? a few tabs have the capo, but I'm not sure I'm supposed to put one on a classical guitar!

    Anyway, great tune

    mike

  • Sounds more Lute-ish is maybe why I think ;)

  • best!

  • hmm, very nice played!

  • Beautiful rendition, nicely played: bravo!...

    luca

  • very peaceful song as always very well played

  • Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
