@Stealthship1 this is video from inside News 4 Channel weather studios, located in Downtown St. Louis, they are risking their lives to help warn our community. I was in South County, Mehlville that you hear them talking about in the background which is their LIVE broadcast to their viewing area, I for one am glad they were there for us.
@sfmarklh hahahahahhhahaahhahaahaha dude this is the funniest shit in the world...lmaoo....American people love to make a big ass deal out of everything....I love american ppl.
@lorenzokid92 ,,, my son and his family lost their house and everything in it. Broken bones,, etc. etc. How dare you try to belittle how devastating this was. Not saying anything about New Orleans,,that was a tragedy also. Some ppl sheesh!!!
I was at a bible convention two miles where the tornado touched down. I heard a large crash and the hail pored down, my van's windshield shattered and I needed a new pair of underwear.
Out in Fenton, MO you could see it forming, never saw it touch down. But there was flash flooding and powerful winds and a little mexican restaurant that we waited the storm out at lost power, roof leaked massively, talking about 60gallons every 5minutes that had to be dumped(we helped them out, it was bad.) and tables were flown into the near by wall and some were broken. Pretty intense storm, cant wait till tomorrow, hopefully some good storm chasing in STL Area!
Big Bend flooded when I was at work at Mr. Wizards Custard Store. Water from the road up to the door! I have it on my cell phone I'm trying to figure out how to post it.
I was showing the video to students in my journalism classes at University of Chicago High School in Chicago and they loved the activity and did NOT find you guys annoying. There's no place like St. Louis on a stormy day. Mid-town looks great on your video and here's a shout out to SLU!
St. Louisan transplanted to Chicago 45 years and still totally devoted to and involved in my hometown (you can take the boy out of St. Louis but you can't take St. Louis out of the boy). Where were you located when you shot this and what is Midtown Studios. As a kid I was around KSD at 12th and Olive a lot in the original studios and I lived through the 1959 F-4, which actually was two tornadoes (as was the 1927 storm).
Just as a side note, we have in place several safety precautions for storms such as these in the Midtown Studios. Luckily, the thickness (and I mean thickness) of the glass provides us with adequate protection. But as you saw, when things get really bad, we head for our designated safety shelter. It's extremely important to do the same!
@mranenome Our windows in the Midtown Studios are extremely thick. As a trained spotter and Meteorology goon, the 15th floor was a great spot to watch specifics in the cloud base and storm, so I felt safe.... until we evacuated of course. Also, we use a very powerful radar that precisely pinpoints other information in the cell that we use to our benefit when covering severe weather. Trust me, safety is ALWAYS my top priority :)
I'm Mark :) and the video can be misleading because we are actually in the middle of streaming live coverage for our fans of the Storm Alert Weather Team STL, mostly SLU students. Our stream was actually of the radar we were using and audio from the Midtown Studios. My producer/roommate was taking some video of the storm behind the scenes of the livestream and that is what you were watching. Trust me, I know I sound annoying... I was just stressing the significance of the storm.
@farmboy123456789101 no man be happy you don't have to deal with this. when the sirens go off, hail comes down, and the sky is green, you don't mess around. seems cool on video but it aint no joke.
@ladueblue7 my uncel was a storm chaser . he took me out chasing tornados befor it was f`in awsome. besids i live in indiana tornado ally so i know what its like . i love it .

Good thing shelter was suggested a hundred times. My natural inclination would have been to walk outside or stand by glass windows...
