Looks like the pump shotgun(s) isn't held off to the side while pumping. Good. Was this the first STALKER mod to feature a PPD-40? Imagine a PPSh-41 with the barrel jacket "zonesmithed" to accept an M-203. Or an alternate version with a permanent modification like that (used with 35-round stick mags instead of 71-round drums). Imagine an MP5 with a GP-95 zonesmithed onto it. Imagine an MP5K rechambered for 7.62 Tokarev.

Something Ive noticed that may be a glitch of some sort is with the full version i downloaded from moddb is that a knife slash appears to alert enemies just as much as a firearm discharge. Is this normal? I went through the trouble of removing my Stalker Complete mod and reinstalling, repatching the game to install this after seeing a Lets Play Stalker Lurk video here on the tube.

Id like to know if there is some sort of fix for this, because i fear the worst for my silenced firearm style.

for motion blur you need to do 2 things..

First make a shortcut like shown in the installation guide. And add -Mblur

then in game bring up the console and type "r2_mblur #" where the # is...you need to put a nr from 0 to 1 (I use 0.3 )

Cuz i really dont have a fucking clue, but i think i know a solution to your prob. maybe it's the prefetching so try this:

Right Click on the Stalker exe (the desktop icon or programme Icon) and go to properties, then go to the Shortcut tab. Where it says Target, you need to add a line to the end of the text written in the Target box. It should say

"D:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl1\bin\XR_3DA.exe"

Note that D drive is where I have stalker installed. Now, the end of this line leave a space and type:

-noprefetch

So you will now have this on your Target box:

"D:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl1\bin\XR_3DA.exe" -noprefetch

Make sure to leave a spave and put in the dash (-) followed by nopretch. Dont leave a space between the Dash and noprefetch.

Click apply and Ok and now re-run the game. You will immediately notice

1. Faster Loading

2.A big performance boast.

You're making quite a few assumptions. The weight limit is actually lower then in vanilla, and if the ballistics have any relevance to COD then it's purely coincidental, and it's already known that there are parts of this mod that are compiled from others.

Testing it out now... using realistic backpack and playing on master... you can't scrape together enough money now, maybe you can get a good assault rifle and suit bought, rest will be looted and repaired... i can carry 35kg and 40kg makes me immobile... i die from a few pistol hits, but since i can sneak now its no biggie unless i go rambo on a large group of stalkers... this mod does not make stalker easy, oblivion lost makes stalker easy.

The /k/ ommando was getting out of control and he ditched. I got all the weapon ballistics from him, but I had to make the formula because he wanted all the weapons to be hyper realistic, as in one bullet can take down practically anyone, laser accuracy whatnot. I had to get a /v/irgin to finish the loadouts.

Realism works in ARMA, but the odds are against you too often to consider that kind of realism. You're almost always fighting alone against multiple enemies in Stalker.

Quick comment, would it be possible to do two things:

1) Add just a VERY very small dose of blur to the screen when someone is scoped, meaning there is visual focus on the scope/target

2) Make the reload animations faster, they look way to smooth and simplistic, like the guy doesn't give a fuck that he's in the middle of the firefight. Make that shit look snappy and powerful.
